Easy walking distance to the Cowboys QCB Stadium. Woolies is up the road and the best of all was the clean, comfortable room.

The property is in a good location rooms are big but the bathrooms have no where to put clothes

The hotel is under new management and in the process of refurbishment. The staff, especially Annie the receptionist, were delightful. Happy, accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean, spacious and well serviced. Once the refurbishments are finished this will be an even more wonderful place to stay. In the center of the city and close to shopping and eateries - perfect.

Disappointed paid $250 for king bed with tub…no tub, no cafe, no bar, no room service. Changed hands a few months ago and old owners took everything apparently. No microwave or toaster in room, just a kettle. Extremely basic for the high price. Was great to have a cup, teabag and milk to have a cuppa. Room was clean & bed comfy but very overpriced

Hotel is a bit run down and room had a nasty disinfectant odor. Everything worked but it was Australia Independence Day so that might have been part of the issues

I won’t recommend to many. Lack of information about excitement places, no parking for customers, staff who seems not interested working at the hotel, and no excitement about welcoming guests. Maybe because of long weekend but that’s not a good excuse.

The rooms were a good size however the property had a terrible odour. The shower broke in our room and although reported it was not fixed as was a broken toilet roll holder. The room lighting was very dark and insufficient. Location was ok for what we had to do, the staff, when available were helpful. Would not stay again

The hotel was older and more worn out than photos (which I assume were taken in their remodel in 2016). My bed was not changed once in 10 day stay. Towels were replaced but not always with correct number, trash was taken out but bathroom was never cleaned or floors swept in those 10 days. Room smelled almost of bug spray. Staff at front desk was sometimes there but frequently missing. When I needed a missing towel or bottle water I did get it replaced after asking. Parking was free but limited and tight parking spaces. No real on site dining but places that were walkable. It would be fine for a night or two but would not recommend for a longer stay.

Very convenient location, shops are in walking distances and close to the airport.
The A/C unit in the room was quite old and struggling to reduce room temperature.
The water pressure in the shower was quite low, they may need to look into it and fix.
Breakfast may not be available on public holidays.

Clean and tidy accommodation with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and polite. Only downfall was the on-site car parking. It was difficult to park a larger car in the allotted spaces available. Appart from this, my family and I found the Clarion to be a great place to stay in Townsville.
