Best trip all summer
Pros:

I loved the location. I was able to use the skyway to get everywhere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. One even gave me a cold bottle of water from the back because they'd sold out so quickly. The room was nice and it was a quiet stay. The conditioner was also amazing, it did wonders for my hair.

Cons:

Nothing, I was happy with everything.

Problems that need to be addressed
Pros:

Very clean and the staff were very friendly.

Cons:

There is a parking lot off of Hennepin St. right across from the State Theater that you can see from the even numbered rooms that is a serious problem. The lot is used for parking for the arena’s nearby but the problem is a bunch of Somalians hang out there ALL night and play their music from their cars so loud that it was actually shaking the hotel. Every morning there is an elderly gentleman that comes in and spends at least an hour picking up all the trash from the night before and I saw this 3 days in a row.
It’s a shame because this is a really nice hotel in an awesome location, but if the City and/or the hotel doesn’t address this soon, I don’t think there will be a lot of return customers.

Great place to be for the MSP events
Pros:

Breakfast was good. The location to the ball field was amazing. The sky walk made it hte perfect place to be.

Cons:

The parking knowledge was very confusing. The staff did not explain the QR code at registration and we ended up pulling a ticket. There needs to be more udnerstanding on that.

Great stay for my son and I.
Pros:

Great service from the start. Front desk team when I checked in were awesome!

Cons:

Didn't know the did t have parking. Couldn't park at the front to check in due to other people leaving their cars there for 30 min. We drove around then decided to park in the ramp near the back of the hotel. It just happened to be connected so that was a plus.

Great location, immaculately clean, connected to Skyway!
Pros:

This was our 4th hotel stay within our 6-city roadtrip. We usually stay at Home2 because we like the kitchen amenities, but there weren't any Home2s in the downtown area. I have to say, this Hampton Inn was our favorite. The location cannot be beat, as it's in close proximity to: First Ave and 7th Street (night club), the theater district (can see State theater from our room), Target Field and Target Center, transportation hub and just about anything else you'd like to walk to in the downtown area. I walked as far as Walker Sculpture Garden in one direction and across the Hennepin Bridge and to Mill Ruins Park in the other direction. This hotel is connected to the Skyway, so if you don't want to walk outside you can get to Target Field via Skyway and in the other direction towards Target Shopping Plaza and further. I especially loved walking through LaSalle Plaze via the Skyway. I loved the art deco decor of the space. The breakfast in this Hampton Inn was among the best I've had. Everything was done correctly. First, the food hall area is extremely wide so everyone has adequate space to get their food. The seating area is separate from where the food is located, which is great so that no one is bumping into you as you're eating and they're getting their food. The food area was always clean and the food was replenished quickly. The seating area was very big with various table configurations. Our room was huge! We got a room with a wet bar and a refrigerator. The refrigerator was too small for all of our stuff, but we managed. It was nice having a counter area for laying out snacks and a sink separate from the bathroom sink. There was a king size bed and a pull out sofa. The sofa mattress was so comfortable that you didn't feel like you were on a pull out. While very large and nicely equipped, the configuration of the room prevented the people in the bed and those on the sofa to watch TV at the same time. The bed was on one side of the room, the couch on the other and a desk/TV unit combo in the middle. The TV needs to be swivled in order to watch it so only one half of the room can see the TV at one time. The TV stand/desk should be swapped with the couch so that everyone is looking in the same direction. Luckily, we didn't spend too much time in the room so this wasn't a major issue for us. There is a lovely outdoor seating area that was just so tranquil. It featured a huge couch and various tables. I loved watching the birds eat from the feeders. This is also the dog relief area, but there was no trace of dogs being there. This hotel was immaculate. I made sure to tell the housekeeper in the lobby that they were doing a great job keeping everything clean. All in all, we had a fabulous stay in this Hampton Inn. The only drawback were the unfavorable people who waited along the side of the building at the bus stop. There is also what appears to be a low income apartment building around the corner. The residents congregated on the street every night. It's very possible that it was a drug sale spot. No one ever bothered us and there's security in the transit center 24 hours. Just be alert when in this area. All in all, this was a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors to Minneapolis. Bonus: if you're a Prince fan, this hotel ooks out at a massive mural of him.

Pros:

It's right in downtown Minneapolis, and it's within walking distance to a lot of shops, restaurants, and attractions. We like the parking garage is right across the street, so it's not very hard to get there. The hotel is fairly secured and would need key access to enter at night.

Cons:

Wish the variety of breakfast could be improved. And the neighborhood made me feel a bit scared despite the security.
