No frills attached. A budget hotel. Strictly the stay and scoot kinds. One mineral water bottle per person per night. The wifi kept konking off repeatedly. The breakfast was average, although not bad. Sponge uttappa and Wada sambar, and omelette made to order. But as the location is premium and flooded with scores of options, maybe I would like to explore others the next time.
Property is good & location is very easy to approach, but services, hospitality, amenities are so poor.
Staff behaviour very bad.
Those people don't even serve basic things in room service.
Snacks as complimentary is very poor quality and no varieties.
Staff is untrained and unprofessional. They seem to be saving pennies and refused me to give an extra towel for the 2 days I stayed there. My WiFi did not work and all that they had to say is that it is complimentary as if they are doing me a favour. They also charged me extra for double occupancy as my friend came over to visit me for an hour. Totally unprofessional. Not fit to be in hospitality
rooms small.
staff of little help.
bathroom shower has no force & an adult will take atleast 10mins to make themselves completely wet.
hot water in shower......didnt feel it even when it was on for 10mins, trying to make myself wet in the situation explained above. when informed at reception they said we will have it checked & later said its ok now. but when went for shower again it was all the same.
breakfast very minimal.
prices charged exhorbitant. there are better & cheaper properties around. for this kind of stay, service & food there are hotels at 60% of the price this hotel charges.
The hotel is in a great location, it has well maintained rooms and that is about it. The staff has no customer empathy, appears poorly trained and inarticulate. No supervisor or manager was available when asked. The breakfast is greasy and no options other than poha. When asked if we could pay for breakfast and get a better fare, the answer was no. The security staff does all of the support when you check in, receive you and take you to the room. Given the price (I paid Rs 5000+ on Make My Trip) , the hotel is overpriced and ill-equipped to offer minimum services. Seems it has got past the review filters to still appear as an option on Make My Trip
We stayed for 2 nights.. it’s very good hotel.. staff is very cooperative and polite.. breakfast is good.. not too much variety but they serves fruits, corn flakes, Upma / Idli/ eggs dishes.. fresh juice.. really testy breakfast.. rooms are clean and big enough.. hotel location is very nice.. many restaurent and bars are near by.. any way nice experience.. reception lady was very helpful.. thank you..
Visited this place for a single night.
It is located in the heart of Pune near to JM road. Offers a lot of things around the place.
Well the rooms and bathrooms are very well and at par with some big hotels . The bathrooms even have bath tubs which you rarely find at this price point. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Don't expect a luxury treatment but you will get what you need. the Breakfast is just ok, nothing really great.
Good for short trips as i was happy with the rooms.
Only Good about this hotel is its location. Rooms are stinky, air-conditioning works intermittently and the guy at the reception has a master control of the central AC which he uses indescriminately and switches off at will, room service sucks , washrooms are ageing, with shower controls that require you to hold the lever and have an acrobatic one handed wash.
Breakfast is complimentary, with a minimalist spread that doesn't really taste all that good.
Best avoided, much better hotels for similar rates in Pune
JM four is a small good budget hotel. The staff is courteous and helpful. The central air conditioned room is decent in size and is with all amenities like refrigerator, electronic safe, Tea-coffee maker. The room was clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was provided. Toilet was clean with all basic toiletries provided. Room services was decent. Food is of reasonably good quality and taste. Breakfast had limited variety. Location is good and very quite. All in all a decent hotel to stay in for short trips.
Rooms are neat and pretty big. Friendly staff and good service. Though lit bit problem with access card to my room it was a very pleasant stay. Food is delicious, veg Choice is very less. Morning breakfast was not that great compared to Ala carte. Overall very good experience especially when you are on a hectic appointment schedule.
I booked this property through Trip Advisor. Check in time was 12 noon and since I reached morning 8 am , I requested early check in.
The staff was very rude and told me I can check in or look another place ; they couldnt care less. They finally charged me half day rent for 3 hours of stay.
And after that , when I went for breakfast , the waiter rudely informed the breakfast will be chargeable . This inspite of paying 1100 bucks for 3 hours.
Breakfast served is a mockery of the term " BREAKFAST " .No nonveg stuff served not even eggs so those who cant do without eggs , please avoid this property.
Rooms are ok. big n spacious and thats the only good thing about this property.
Avoid this property. much better hotels available in the same area at mych less tariff
This does not look like a 4 star hotel. Early check-ins are chargeable. We confirmed this on phone but we were treated like they are doing a favor on us. We decided to have complimentary breakfast on the day we did early check-in and wanted to try something outside for next day, but they have policies (obviously undocumented) which say only next day breakfast is complimentary whether you eat it or not. Even though we spoke about this decision before having breakfast, the hotel charged me telling about this policy. THERE IS A LOT OF MISCOMMUNICATION. What you speak to one person does not get conveyed to other during shift changing and you end up paying more than you had negotiated.
I booked a room at this hotel through Agoda.com for my father who was visiting Pune for some work. The entire payment for the stay was made to Agoda online in advance and a booking confirmation and invoice was issued by Agoda via email. But soon after my father checked in he got a call from the front desk asking him to pay an extra amount per night because the amount charged by Agoda was not in agreement with the amount the hotel had negotiated with Agoda. My father told them that if there was a rate issue it should be settled between the third party (Agoda) and JM Four and not drag him in it, but the front desk staff kept saying they did not have any clue about the rates and that they were asking my father to pay more because that is what their manager Mr. George had asked them to do. I then called the front desk and asked them to connect me to their manager to which their reply was "he is not available right now". They did give me his number but he didnt answer his phone. I tried his phone again the next day and he didnt answer his phone again. I called up the front desk again the next day to check if Mr. George was available at the hotel but they said he was not. I also provided both mine as well as my father's number to the front desk and asked them to inform their manager to call me once he was available but we never got a call. Finally i decided to call Agoda myself and they ultimately resolved the matter with the hotel without me having to pay anything extra. I felt this issue could have easily been resolved if the front desk or the Manager would have taken it up with Agoda directly without inconveniencing the customer.
The hotel staff asking a customer who has a legal invoice and booking confirmation to pay an extra amount just because they have a dispute with their online booking partner is ridiculous.
Was expecting better treatment of customers by hotel staff trained in hospitality management.
The room was very average for the price charged and the only good part about the hotel was its location within the city.
I stayed in this hotel during a business trip to Pune.JMFour is a good hotel at a perfect location. The in room dining experience is very good. The rooms are simple and clean,. Staff is very helpful. I will surely consider this hotel during my next visit.
The rooms are decent, clean and quite affordable. This hotel rooms offer the facility of 4 star room confort at the price of a 2 star. The cute part about the room was bathrooms with tub and a glass window separating the tub view from the room!
Flip side is that there is no restaurant in this hotel! only a sort of buffet room with basic chairs & tables laid out for guests to sit and eat the breakfast buffet. Otherwise, its strictly room service or you may go outside to have food!!
No facilities as such in this hotel since its located in a crowded and cramped residential colony and has just about space to have a car parking- which is also very cramped. There is a sort of terrace garden- just an open space. Best for business travellers and ofcourse v good rooms so its good for family who are travelling and use this hotel as a pit stop
We had actually booked this hotel as it was the closest to Shanivar Wada. I was driving my Nissan Terano ( SUV) and when we arrived the watchman told us that we can't park in the vicinity when we asked why , first he said there is no parking , then he changed saying my car is too big hence we can't park inside the vicinity . When we argued that we are staying there for 2 nights . He let us park. The moment we entered our room , we felt like we made a mistake since the rooms was so worn out including the walls, the painting , the tub. The bathroom amenities such as soap and moisturiser were half filled as if someone used it and were never replaced. The bottle itself was so worn out I didn't know if the things were expired. We had booked through Agoda so I wrote an email to AGODA immediately that I want to change my hotel for the next night atleast and stated the reason. But the staff of the hotel was very nice and polite and hence we decided to stay even when Agoda said they will come back to us. Next morning when we were leaving for shanivar Wada the sales manager Mr. George came to ask us about our email to Agoda and we politely mentioned what we noticed , his face said that he didn't believe us so we even told him that feel free to cross check out claims in the room but it's ok we are not checking out. During our outing we receive an email from AGODA and it stated the email that was sent back by Mr. George about us . It was one rude email and something we wouldn't expect from a Sales Manager from a hospitality industry. We went back to the hotel and confronted Mr. George and he said that he spoke to his watchman and his watchman said nothing like that happened and hence he wrote that email. My question to Mr. George was did we ask for him to come see us ? Did we make any kind of fuss after checking in ? Did we check out ? Did we behaved badly with their staff ? Then how did he put such an email about the guests staying at the hotel . That man is rude and doesn't know the basics of hospitality. I even mentioned to him that he should probably go back to hotel management and learn some manners. I took him to the room and showed him everything that was wrong with the room. He didn't have an answer to it . I am attaching that rude email to this review. In case you wanna stay there , be ready to get such rude emails from the idiotic sales manager Mr. George.
I stayed in this property for 3 nights and i must say there was hardly thing i can complain about.Got the booking done through goibibo and got a very decent price.Since it was a official visit to pune i strategically wanted to stay in JM road.,The hotel is located very near to the main road and can be easily located. They offer buffet breakfast which is very basic. Don't expect much from it.I even asked for boiled egg which they politely declined and suggested to go for an omelette only. The room is quite good for a single person or a family of two,The bathrooms have bathtubs but i will suggest not to use the bathtubs (don't know how clean it is). The bathroom had basic toiletries in it but it was well maintained. The staff is courteous and room service is quick.
The ratings and reviews that were written on various websites led me to book this hotel. Hotel is located at the heart of the city in the middle of JM road and FC road. So no problem about connectivity and food, in case you want to explore. Lets start with Hotel, the staff was courteous and the check-in was done in no time. My room was ready before I reached. Room was clean and washroom was tidy.
The thing which hotel needs to work on, the bathroom kit was not present. There are people like me who usually carry their own stuff but its good to see certain things in the hotel. Forgot to carry my razor so requested for shaving kit. The hotel didnt have it but they were courteous enough to send a staff to fetch it for me.
Food: tried only their breakfast, not very lavish but the taste was good and staff was courteous.
So overall score, 3.5. I am sure hotel is reading my review and will make the amends.
Very nice rooms, good size with all amenities, large flat screen TV's. Very close to the main shopping areas of Shivajinagar and close to some very good restaurants. Very quiet rooms and the comfortable beds gave a good nights sleep.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble and any issues were sorted out very quickly and professionally. If you don't like an Indian breakfast you can always get an omelette and toast.
I stayed there for 5 nights the hotel was good and clean..the room was well furnish and maintained..food was delicious..but breakfast has very limited variety..wifi connection was unstable...overall nice hotel..
