There was a cockroach on the white bedsheets upon arrival. I asked for another room and received one viewing a construction site. It was a gloomy stay to celebrate one's birthday.

If you are visiting Tel Aviv, do NOT stay with Brown Golden House or any other Brown Hotels. After booking this hotel and pre-paying, we arrived to find out from the rude, demeaning receptionist that our room was “taken by another guest.” It wasn’t “taken.” The hotel double-booked the room because we didn’t show up exactly at the check-in time for our reservation. She said that because we didn’t show up at 3 pm they gave the room to another customer. Keep in mind the website clearly says “24 hour front desk” and we landed at 5am with no room. They were paid TWICE for the SAME room, and could not provide us with a room. Immediately, I contacted Hotels.com who I booked through. They called the hotel to hear from Brown Golden and rectify the situation. The receptionist told us she would agree to a refund when they called but instead let the phone ring and ring and ring, then after answering, said the issue was taken care of and left the phone off the hook. We were NEVER given a room. The hotel was unapologetic, did not offer alternative accommodations, breakfast, a room to leave our bags in, nor an upgrade. Nothing — She just had us sit in the lobby, laughed at us. Since this, Hotels.com has tried to contact Brown Golden. Brown Golden and their staff are dodging Hotels.com, refusing to give a refund (despite agreeing to it in person). We were told a a manger would contact us, and never did. Hotels.com customer service even updated me to say they’re “chasing” the hotel.
Les chambres sont très petites et très sombres pas possible de voir le jour les chambres donnant sur la rue à éviter si on veut dormir !!!. Heureusement le personnel est sympa surtout Thérèse la femme de ménage qui parle français !!! Pour un court séjour mais certainement pour des vacances !!!

Amazing hotel, great location by the beach, comfortable rooms, wonderful staff. Noa is amazing, and she always goes out of her way to make sure that guest’s room preferences are met when possible. She really goes above and beyond, and her exceptional service is very much appreciated. Wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the golden house very much. Very welcoming Staff upon arrival with convenient coffee station all day, books and great location by the beach. The room was small but very clean, and very well maintained. I would definitely go back next time.
