Great location, but overall a mediocre experience.

The good: perfect location to explore Galata and Karaköy or pick up the tram, friendly staff, solid breakfast spread, decent view from the higher floors

The not-so-good: cleanliness (floor in my room had that gritty dirty feeling), a non-working showerhead, air-conditioning option was not enabled on my thermostat so I had to choose between either a very warm room or street noise and smells from an open window.

Also, as other reviewers have mentioned / as is fairly clear from photos online, the bathrooms only separated with a lightly frosted glass partition and in my particular room the door was not even frosted - something to keep in mind if privacy is a concern.

Welcome was far from warm - hardly looked up from desk sometimes. Room never cleaned in whole time we stayed. Fridge was warm. Badly designed room. Only saved by the incredible view

Exceptional Stay at a Superb Location

Our recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. The location is superb, making it easy to explore all the local attractions. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options to suit every taste.

The highlight of our stay was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. We faced a sudden change in our flight schedule and needed a late checkout. Erdem went above and beyond by making a phone call and arranging for us to stay until 9 pm free of charge. This thoughtful gesture made our experience truly outstanding.

Thank you so much, Erdem, for your exceptional service and hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

I highly recommend Bankerhan Hotel. Extremely well located close to Galata Tower. The room was clean and very comfortable.

The staff (Erdem & Cagdas) were amazing - always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Always smiling and ready to assist. They made my stay very special.

I look forward to my return to Istanbul and stay at Bankerhan Hotel again.

Location wise is almost perfect except for being a bit harder to find ( back lane ) and quite hilly surrounding area . Staff was very friendly and breakfast very good

Got free upgrade to a sea view room. Room was clean and cozy. Staffs were all super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Location was extremely convenient, 5 mins walk to both Galata Bridge and Galata Tower. You can jump onto T1 tram from the Galata bridge station to go south for famous mosques, old palace and great bazaar. Highly recommend.
