Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
Pros:

Property is clean and well kept. The employees there are absolutely very friendly and helpful. They were a pleasure to talk to. I don't think I met one employee that did smile and say something nice.

Overall you get a good but no flexibility on rate. We are seniors. I asked was told no.
Pros:

The staff, especially the gal in the bar area was so sweet to everyone. Continental breakfast good.

Cons:

Well it was so hot in the pool area. Dehumidifiers should be pumped outside. Ladders in pool hard to use. Old safe area in our room 110 needs to be patched up. Promised lake view room?

A pleasant surprise to find this property making a comeback.
Pros:

I have stayed at this facility many times over the years. Now that it has a new company running it; it appears they’re working hard to bring the facility back up to it poor potential.

Cons:

An older couple, both obviously handicapped some degree to the age, and probably a stroke, could have used a little help in the breakfast room. The person on duty could have offered them some help, but seemed blind to their need for some assistance. I would have gotten up to help them, but I too am disabled and would not have been much help at all. The attendant in the breakfast room was so concerned with doing her job, and probably doing it well, she did not see the opportunity right in front of her. I guess it’s a lesson for all of us, keep our eyes open and do what we can do to help one another.

You need to stay here
Pros:

We pass this hotel frequently on our trips to Minnesota this is only the second time we have stayed here as we usually try to get further along g on our trip. It’s really to bad because this is a great hotel. It is clean. Staff are friendly. The pool and hot tub were perfect. The hotel breakfast was the usual complimentary breakfast but there was something about it that made it better. Maybe it was the atmosphere. It was a separate area that at night is a bar and restaurant. I’ve had this before in other hotels but the breakfast area is usually an afterthought that is often not well taken care of. This area was clean nicely arranged and well attended by a dedicated worker who seemed to care about her work. I swear the eggs were real but if not you couldn’t tell. The best part of the stay was the pillows on the bed. Best pillows I have ever used anywhere including my home. I considered stealing one after I couldn’t figure out where they came from but I didn’t. If you are in the area consider staying here!

Orange Moose and lodge was filthy.
Pros:

We stayed here last year and the balcony floor was filthy. Made the soles of our feet jet black. Went this year and the balcony still hadn't been cleaned so we wore slippers to go out on it and then took them off inside the door. Well our feet still turned black from the inside room's floor. Pathetic. Tried to talk to the manager to no avail. Left a message that I would be writing a review on Trip Advisor and still haven't heard. Awful customer service in spiute of their sign saying "If you weren't happy with your stay, we'll fix it". We will not be going back again.
