The person on duty the evening of Sunday Dec 7th was exceptional unfriendly. No welcome, no smiles, spoke in a monotone and unhelpful when asked about coffee.
For breakfast, motel food - cold rubbery eggs, razor thin bacon and etc.
It had rained earlier in the week, so red mud had been tracked into the lobby and to the elevator. By Monday morning, the clumps had dried and been smushed to brown grit. None of the staff took five minutes to sweep up the dirty lobby.
The room and its contents were very well done. The shower had refillable tubes of shampoo and conditioner which I really liked. Bed very comfortable.
I had a reservation here, October 25 for one night. I checked into a room and when I went in the bathroom the ceiling had mold and peeling tile on it. later that night, the ceiling actually dripped water all over the floor and counter. When I checked out the next day, I complained and showed pictures. The hotel staff said they had to talk to the management about some type of restitution for my problem. Since that time I have dealt with both the hotel and the main Best Western customer service. I've been told the local hotel has to deal with this. The local hotel management has avoided my calls. I was lied to and told I would get a partial refund and to this day nothing has happened. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I paid $50 extra for this hotel because it was an event night. I could not change rooms because it was fully booked. After several emails and promises of callbacks, one staff member said that they would credit me $75 which was never applied to my account. Do not go to this hotel. Best Western does not stand behind their hotels, and the local management is horrible.

I chose this hotel because I stayed here previously. It is close to the event I was going to...a ten minute drive. Breakfast provided which was a plus. Nearby restaurant and fast food locations were also considered. Staff very polite and courteous.

I was in town for a funeral. Sheets had not been changed and the room smelled like garbage or body odor. I even looked in the drawers to see if someone left food behind. There was an LSU game, so I was unable to change rooms. The terrible smell kept me up during the night. I changed pillows and some of the odor dissipated. The odor was coming from the pillows and mattress. The replacement sheets were torn. Although the bathroom had a working fan, the towels were very old, and the bathroom floor grout was dirty. Be sure to bring flip-flops. This Best Western is the only place to stay in St. Francisville, and it is always busy. Owners should invest in new sheets, pillows, towels and mattresses, as needed. Also, use pillow protectors under the pillow case! Although the Asst. Manager, KP, is attentive and works hard, he can't do everything. I know traveling to St. Francisville for over 20 years, I know that it is very difficult to hire people to work.
The room was nice and clean, but the bathroom didn't have a fan and had mold growing on the ceiling. Tile grout on bathroom floor was filthy. I brought it to Asst. Manager's attention. KP, Asst. Mgr., was attentive and works hard. Breakfast was good. Area nice and clean. This is a busy hotel, unless you stay at a haunted plantation home or boutique hotel/spa. I just wish Best Western would invest more money in the hotel, like sheets. pillows and towels.

It was an amazing stay , everyone was very nice . The place was very clean .
Pool was green! And floors in hallway were dirty. All the employees just sit in the lobby and watch tv and eat the buffet. Never seen anything like this before!!!!

The property was average. The man who checked me in did not tell me there was a specific way you needed to open the door, so after attempting to open it several times with all my belongings in tow, I had to go back down to the desk. At that time he was on the phone and while talking on his phone, walked up to the room with me and showed me how to open it. He did say that due to the locks being so old, that is why it required to be opened in a certain way. Knowing in advance how to specifically open the door, would have been helpful. Perhaps they should inform their guests or simply replace the door locks.
The front desk personnel was so nice. He let us check in early for a much needed nap. The room and facilities were very clean. I would recommend to a friend or family!
