The worst hotel in America. The hotel room was being renovated but didn't find out until the next day. The carpet was old, worn and had chemicals to make it smell better. The A/C sounded like there was construction outside in the parking lot. The bathroom toilet ran all night and the exhaust fan sounded like an airplane. The total cost was $268.26. The reason I didn't go to another motel was that the clerk said there was a convention going on. I had been driving 14 hours and needed a place to sleep.
The pool was nice for kids after a long drive. The location was easy to get to from the interstate.
Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator, so hauling huge suitcases and items for a week long road trip was not convenient. The hot tub was out of order and one of the turned down queen beds had an obvious suspicious stain on sheet where the turndown highlighted. The room did not look like it was vacuumed, small specks of garbage on the carpet. Bedside light had a short that would sometimes result in one side being turned on and sometimes not. We had to dust a layer of dirt on the shelf by the tv - obvious accumulation. The A/C unit worked, but not well. It was a rough night.
Friendly breakfast man. Desk staff very friendly. Like the dog bones
carpet is older
WARNING: Corporate Best Western needs to address the issues of cleanliness, security, and old age if they are going to allow their name on this hotel. ESPECIALLY charging the rates they do. We've spent the same $, or less, on BW's that were far and above the quality of this one.
*BW is usually our "go to". We only stayed one night then went to another hotel for the rest of our stay. We should have kept on driving to the next town with a decent BW.
*The Lobby belied the room conditions.
*An indescribable odor in the hallways and the room.
*Windows were filthy... all over.
*Exterior doorways that do not lock at night, despite this hotel being in an isolated dark area with other hotels... and a few transients wandering around.
*Nice desk staff advised there was cameras and someone at the desk at night. Cameras only effective *after* something happens.
*Oh, but we were summarily admonished about not having a "party in our room" if we weren't willing to "pay". Really not sure why a couple of mature adults were given this type of warning.
* I honestly don't know how this property has a rating of over 3 from others. Makes me wonder how very low their prior standard is.
** In reviewing other negative comments (post stay, unfortunately), the manager obviously responded to the same issues on multiple occasions. He/She stated an intent to address/fix things. NOPE... didn't follow thru - months ago, last year.
NEVER AGAIN!!
Great breakfast included.
Kinda expensive
Very nice ladies at the desk. Pool was nice good breakfast
Bed was very uncomfortable. The place needs some up6
Breakfast
The air conditioner was not working well. It was quite warm. When I spoke to the front desk I was told the maintenance person was out of town and would not be back until 10pm, that the room we could move to was more money and the manger would not be back for two days.it was late, we had a long drive and were very tired - there was nothing to do but sleep in a poorly cooled room.room (105) we will not be back.
Great location for a one night stay. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful.
Pillows were paper thin and hard
The pool and hot tub are both great, and we enjoyed both. The location was also convenient for us
Desperately needs to be remodeled. Outdated, strong smell of cigarette smoke. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Dingy. Not worth the $350/ night.
If I could go lower than one star I would. My partner and I were settling into bed when she suddenly felt something wet on her leg. When we looked at what it could be, we realized it was pee. When I went to the front desk the lady was very nice and helpful… but was weirdly nonchalant about the situation. There was no other availability for rooms so she just changed the sheets and called it good. There was no way we were getting back in that bed so we decided to find somewhere else to sleep for the night. This is a biohazard, another person’s bodily fluids. We do not plan on ever coming back here.
The bes and pillows
The side doors to get to the rooms was not locked or handicap able to open. This area had a few homeless hanging out anyone could come into the hotel. Also these doors is where you park and bring in luggage. Felt they should have assist open. Staff at the desk not super friendly. Also never went over chk out time, breakfast or anything about the pool. Also the shower when running squealed.
