Location was good, right on the lake. The accommodations were not very good
Pros:

Location was good.

Cons:

Some staff were very friendly while others were completely indifferent. The noise was a deal-breaker- could hear everything and everybody going up and down stairs. Also, the indoor pool was way too chlorinated-my son’s eyes were so irritated and my skin was burning after using the pool.

I got early to the hotel because I was going to mackinac island and the guy at the front desk made a comment that I was to early there before asking why I was early. That I didn't like.

Pros:

The access to the lake allowed us to enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise. The s’mores on the fire pit was so relaxing. Place was clean and everyone attentive. Best of all was our view from hotel to the lake

Pros:

When we arrived our rooms we were booked for rooms in separate buildings. When we explained to the staff that we had 4 kids under 16 they immediately recognized that wouldn't work. It took some time, but they found a way for us to have rooms next door to each other, right by the pool, and with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff and the service continued to impress us during our stay. The included breakfast had a great variety and the staff kept everything stocked and clean throughout the entire service period. Every night they had a bonfire by the lake, and provided everything necessary to make s'mores. The shuttle service to the Mackinaw Island feiry was very efficient, there were always plenty of towels in the rooms and at the pool, the grounds were well maintained and the rooms were clean.

Cons:

We had an Amazon delivery mishap. We had confirmation that the package was delivered and handed to a staff member, but when we went to pick it up from the front desk, they didn't have it.

This sounds fake, but it's not.. this place blew me away with the cleanliness and value and staff
Pros:

Grant at the front desk helped us get adjoining rooms, he was very kind. Also, large rooms and super clean! The most clean hotel room I've stayed at in years. Also, great value

Our room was meticulously clean, the beds warm, soft, and comfortable, but the view out our balcony over Lake Michigan was spectacular!

Cons:

Reservation services(bookings.com) made getting information, and adding a night virtually impossible. They double booked everything which made me very nervous. Fortunately my hubs was able to get a direct phone to the front desk and they were exceptional at making sure the corrections were made expeditiously.
