This hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean. The location is perfect, right on Lake Huron. There is a playground for kids. They have an heated outdoor pool and hot tub. They also have a heated indoor pool.
The only reason why I gave the hotel a 9, was because the beach was all rocks (still beautiful) which made it hard for swimming with littles. The breakfast was ok, we made it to breakfast at 9:30am when closing time was 10:00am and they didn't reload the breakfast bar. There were a lot of people so we didn't have a great selection.
King bed lake view rooms were suite like and huge. Extremely clean with nice furnishings. Rooms, pools and grounds are impeccable. Best place to stay for sure in St Ignace!
Pool and hot tub did not open till 10am. Why? We like to use the hot tub to start our day and help our tourist aches.

Location was perfect. Loved the area close to the lake and being close to the ferry.
The floor felt unstable in a couple of spots. Other hotels provide better toiletries.
Breakfast. Clean rooms.
No towels for pool/hot tub. Room on back corner- no lake view. Booked 2 rooms and had connecting room that would have been convenient but our other party was upstairs instead.
I really loved the view of Lake Huron and I truly appreciate that the balcony wasn't full of bugs and spiders like we experienced at a hotel in Mackinaw City. We were able to actually enjoy sitting on the balcony. I loved the fire and s'mores at night.
Overall, the room and bathroom were very clean, but the arm chairs were dirty with so many crumbs, we knew what foods the crumbs came from, and it was pretty gross.

Bathroom was small and no safety bars. I only had one little bar of bath soap.
There seem to be exclusively budget hotels in St. Ignace and Mackinaw City. I picked this one because it seemed the cleanest and had both outdoor and indoor pools plus was lakefront. Our one stay was fine, but the bathrooms need a complete overhaul. Small, old, and really not enough space, not enough towels. Was an OK jumping off point for our day on Mackinac Island. Staff is doing their best but you can only do so much with an old building. I grabbed coffee at breakfast, go early to avoid crowds of families that flock here during peak season. Other options in this area equally uninspiring.
Pool and waterfront
Room was comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful! Better than I expected. The room was great and a lot of seating. I Have never been in a Best Western where there are people helping with the waffle maker and there is always people cleaning tables. Very nice. We stayed in Sturgeon Bay and it wasn't as nice and the price was much higher. The breakfast there wasn't as good as yours.
There was nothing wrong. There are no complaints. We were very happy with our stay and we would come here when we are in the area. Staff was very nice and courteous.
There was fireworks at Saturday that went on for more than 15 minutes and there was 2 pools indoor and outdoor, our kids had a blast. The breakfast was excellent too!
The beds were not the most comfortable, and the wall outlet was loose, so it didn't like to have things plugged into it.

The beds were very, very firm. Prefer a softer bed.

It was super convenient to all of the places that we planned on visiting.
Our room was good.
Everything was super clean.
We unfortunately had some REALLY Noisy neighbors/people staying in the room adjacent to ours.
But sadly that comes with Hotel stays.
Not everyone is considered of others.
I enjoyed spending time here with someone I love.
