Spent one night. Great spot.
Pros:

Family of 4 stayed here one night on a trip through MI. It can be busy, but the workers stay on top of it. Check in was easy. The room by the water had a few chairs and small table to sit in outside. The room itself was spacious enough. The fire pit with snores at night is a nice touch. Breakfast in the AM was organized and stocked. Great stay!

Best Hotel Choice in St Ignace: A crown jewel of Best Western

For the price I paid I was very disappointed. The staff seemed clueless on how to check people in.
Pros:

Breakfast was ok and the location was good for getting to Mackinac Island.

Cons:

No ability to watch Netflix. Room looked older. Loud party going on outside with people playing drums.

Not a great start, but the location and cleanliness won us over
Pros:

The room was very clean and comfortable and they afternoon staff was very polite and courteous. The bonfore at night was nice and they location was great. You could walk everywhere.

Cons:

The day shift staff upon our arrival wasn’t very kind and a tad abrupt. We arrived about 90 minutes early for check-in. While I knew it was a possibility that the room wouldn’t be ready, my daughter and I thought it was worth a shot. After some intial confusion, the staff behind the des (3 of them) let us know that the room was clean and ready, but we would need to pay for an early check in fee if we wanted to get to the room. Mind you, it is now only 60-90 minutes or so before check-in time. I have travelled quite a bit and I have never been asked to pay an early check-in fee for 60-90 minutes beforehand. To be honest, it seemed like a bit of a money grab and did not leave us with a great impression. I can’t imagine anyone paying a fee to get in their room an hour beforehand. My daughter and I just left, ate a late lunch down the road, and came back an hour later.

Great relaxing view
Pros:

Great location and clean property. A wonderful welcome and acknowledged as an reward member with waters and snack. We were only there for one night but would stay there again for a few nights. The lake view, bonfire, playground, and pool area would be a nice relaxing day. The breakfast had the traditional plus biscuits, sausage, and gravy. We had stayed eight previous nights in hotels and this was the best breakfast of all plus the sits overlooked the pool and lake. The standard ferry parking was less than five minutes and as well as eating places.
