Must stay in Shamrock
Pros:

Nice hotel! Very clean, friendly staff and a great breakfast with and eggs to order grill; really good coffee, expresso, cappacino, latte, etc as well. Very good price too!

Room condition packet from being a five star. TV cabinet had signs of abuse/wear. No soap for the shower. But the room was clean and comfortable.
Staff was great. Had trouble with the TV and the night. Staff person came up to help us out. Turns out the box was not wired to the TV correctly, which he repaired. Breakfast area is very small, but is staffed by a person who will cook eggs for you to order. Nice touch!
When I asked where the ice machine was, a staff member volunteered to deliver a bucket of ice to the room…and promptly did! Maybe the manager/owner? Another nice touch.
Would definitely stay here again, if in the area.

Older hotel and is definitely worn out. Evening staff was friendly but that is where it ended.
Pros:

Upon checking in the male that helped us was very nice. Then things went downhill.

Heat / AC unit would not work properly. Had it not been so late for us to realize this we would have asked to be moved to a different room. We were on the 3rd floor in a pet friendly room and you could smell prior pets upon opening the door. Carpet was filthy and one of the beds had long back hair on it.
Toilet seat was broken, rust in the bathtub was awful. Inch of dust on the lamps. It’s like the housekeepers don’t do anything.

When we were leaving we did mention this to one of the housekeepers in the hallway and she said most of the AC / Heaters does not work in that hotel and they were hoping to be renovating soon. They realize the place needed a major overhaul.

Morning female staff stood right outside the door to smoke as we were trying to load our belongings back up. We had to continue to walk back and forth thru it and she would not move.

Breakfast was decent with ladies making made to order eggs although bacon went fast and was the only meat option. Other items were plentiful and were enough to get us back on the road.

Pros:

Nice clean rooms. Easy on and off of I 40. Great make your own breakfast. Made to order eggs. We checked in late with no issues.

Nice clean and safe place to sray.
Pros:

Very clean, hotel staff was very nice and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was good. Pool looked very nice but we did not use it. Felt very safe here. Room faced highway with a little noise but didn't bother us at all. Definitely would stay here again.
