Best Western Giddings Inn & Suites

The hotel was dark, either poor lighting or low wattage bulbs. Also, the room was very musty and not as clean as would be expected. We did get daily housekeeping however and the breakfast was OK.

The property was well maintained, clean and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Check in and out was a breeze. The dining area offered a nice selection at breakfast. One thing I wasn't used to was going to the counter and placing my request for breakfast selections. Most hotels are self serve. This wasn't a negative, just something I wasn't expecting. Over all, I'd recommend staying here.

This is a property that is tightly managed and leads me to believe that management is working hard to save every penny he/she can manage. It is located next to a Walmart. The entrance to the lobby is locked. You have to call, and someone will come out with keys to unlock it. Once you have a key card for your room, it will unlock the front sliding doors. The hotel does everything it can to demonstrate safety. I wish the breakfast would run until 10a and wish the hallways were brighter. I assume its due to energy and cost effectiveness. I would stay there again but felt a message of cost efficiency as opposed to comfort for the guests. The room was spacious and clean.

The desk guy was extremely rude. The hotel stunk and it was dirty.

In the first 30 minutoes of our stay, we found 5 small live roaches in the room and bathroom, we had to move to another room which had dead roaches behind the curtains. The manager did give us a discount.

The front door was locked at 7:45. Very disappointed in the attitude of the desk clerk at check in. Breakfast was ridiculous, only served for 2 hours, could not help yourself and could not take food back to your room. Only one person was serving breakfast and also working the front desk.

The ac was off when we got into our room, turned it on only for it to be loud and not very cool. I asked the front desk to have someone look at it and he just turned down the fan for it to be a little quieter. The entire hotel was humid. Found something floating in the melted ice from the machine in the hall, let staff know and nothing was done about it except for a new ice bag. Not even an apology. Very uncomfortable beds. Upsetting as this is the best choice of hotel in town.

Plan on going out for breakfast

The stay was good. Surprisingly clean, quiet, and good service

Unfortunately, this was not the best I did not expect to wake up and had roaches on the night stand I lay my mouth guard on the table roaches started getting on it. Had to throw it away and checked out asap..

It was okay but I didn't know that the breakfast was cut off at 9. Most offer it until 10 on a Sunday. So I didn't get any.

Having the entrance sliding doors always locked is kind of creepy. And fornsome reason
the owners leave their vehicle parked in front entrance where "guests" are suppose to check in. Check in was ok. The rooms seemed cleaned at first glance. But after an hour roches started coming out of tub drain and sink. Extremely gross. The plumbing smelled like sewage which is probably why the roches were in there. After calling fromt desk, i was given a hand pump container supposedly with roach killer. Not offered to changebrooms or anything. Just given a spray pump. Although given that the plumbing smelled like sewage and the rocahes coming out of it, i dont think it wouldve made a difference.

Nicest place to stay in Giddings

We had 2 reservations for 10/18-10/20. We arrived late in the evening to rooms that where not clean. There was a roasted chicken in the fridge, loofah in the shower with a bottle of dove soap. There was also was appeared to be short hair everywhere. When we went to check out and for the hotel not to charge us for the 2 nights, they said there was nothing they could do, but go ahead and charge us. They have just given us the run around. Absolutely terrible hotel and service.

Clean apparently they are security conscious you have to call from foyer when entering!
Morning “free” breakfast was disappointing Jimmy dean microwave breakfast sandwiches and no coffee! Coffe maker was empty and server didn’t know how to work ur!!!
