Location is good, with a bus stop servicing a number of lines in front of the building, and Bugis station nearby. The room is not huge, but OK for three. We had the upgrade which gave us a small bathtub and a balcony with a decent view. Beds and pillows are comfy.
There is a refrigerator, that only turns on when the key cards had been inserted (or at least it wasn’t cold when we came). Reception calls this thing minibar and mentioned that everything in there is free. The problem is that it’s not really good at cooling stuff, and the tiny size of it. Not that there wasn’t enough headroom.
The bathroom doesn’t get A/C since the windows are leaky and should be open anyway since there is no vent. The bathtub has a tempered glass separation that should be bigger.

They are quite small and they could be fully booked so u can’t check in earlier if you have an early flight
Der einzige Trost war die Nähe zur U-BAHN. Kales und schmutziges Zimmer, renovierungsbedürftig, Keine Steckdosen, Bettwäsche roch schimmelig und hatte Flecken, Hotelbar wurde als GRATIS Entnahme angeboten (weder Kaffee noch Wasser wurde nachgereicht), Handtücher rissig und fleckig, Nicht zu empfehlen!!!!!!!
Hotel war für diesen Preis eine Katastrophe! Die Bewertungen können nicht echt sondern müssen manipuliert sein. Schade, leider. Dem Personal war ja wirklich alles egal, keine Motivation.

The staff were incredibly helpful and the location was excellent.
The hotel was desperately in need of maintenance. The aircon was frequently inoperable and the phone system didn't work at all during our stay. my friends and I had to request new rooms as the allocated ones were just not acceptable.

The staff are A++, and I rarely say so. The location is superb, with easy access to Bugis, SMU, Fort Canning, Bencoolen, Funan areas, many buses and three MRT stations within walking distance. There is a 7-11 conveniently next door, and a number of local hawker-style eateries are within a few minutes walk in multiple directions. Rooms are comfortable, spacious for SG, and they are well kept by the house staff. The WiFi is great, never any issues, and I find the hotel quiet compared to many in SG. The water tea and and coffee are standard, but the snacks are bonus.
The AC blows directly onto you if you are in bed and the AC may need to be serviced more often for better cooling.
I miss the larger-sized water bottles they used to provided, even though SG has clean water and a 7-11 is next door.
The single elevator for six floors gets a lot of use and could use calibration. However, I do like its access at the rear, it reduces traffic near the front desk.

Zimmer sehr klein: hatten ursprünglich ein Standardzimmer gebucht was klein ist. Hotel schrieb uns an, gegen ein Gebot auf eine andere Zimmerkategorie upzugraden (Deluxe King with Balcony, 30 qm). Haben wir gemacht, gelandet sind wir in einem Zimmer, man konnte gerade ums Bett rum laufen. Der Balkon war ein schmaler Austritt zwischen haushohen Außenwänden. Beschwichtigung: die 30 qm Zimmergrösse wären inkl. Balkon…….

I was happy that I chose Victoria Hotel. It was my first time in Singapore, and this hotel was near to places where I could get food and shopping in Buggis Junction and it's the mose safest Hotel. Even there is a bus station in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend Victoria Hotel to anyone traveling to Singapore for holiday or business.

The room has everything you need for a basic stay. Don't plan to spend much time in the room as it is quite small but for a comfortable, clean, reasonably priced (for Singapore) place to sleep it checks all the boxes.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and dealt with the many issues relating to the rooms with patience and good nature. The hotel is also in a great location.
There were so many problems with the rooms my friends and I were allocated! We took up the offer to bid for an upgrade to balcony rooms and wished we hadn't. The first room I was offered had a defective aircon unit, the fridge was completely iced up and the promised view from the balcony was non existent. The 'balcony' was a square concrete box and reeked of cigarette smoke. The second room offered was much better, but there were ongoing problems with the air-conditioning which, on one occasion completely stopped at 1am on the whole floor and wasn't fixed until 10am. The phone system throughout the hotel didn't work throughout our stay.
