We paid extra for a room with a window, but it looked directly onto a brick wall so didn't add a lot of light

Clean service in the room
We recently stayed at Victoria Hotel, a NuVe Group Collection, and had a wonderful experience. The service and hospitality provided by the staff were exceptional, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The hotel is located in the Bugis area, which is safe, peaceful, and very convenient for travelers. It is situated right in front of Victoria Street, making it easy to access public buses and explore the city.
Several popular shopping destinations, including Bugis+, Bugis Street, and Bugis Junction, are within walking distance. There is also a 24/7 7-Eleven nearby, which was very convenient during our stay.
The hotel staff kindly accommodated our request for a late checkout, which we greatly appreciated. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary minibar items, which was a thoughtful gesture.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. We appreciated the tea and coffee-making facilities, along with complimentary cold drinks in the fridge. Bathroom facilities were very good.
Staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

Very friendly staff and good location.
Unfortunately, our experience was negatively affected by the condition and cleanliness of the room. The bathroom, in particular, was not clean, and the toilet was in very poor condition. It appeared extremely worn, stained, and unhygienic, to the point where it was uncomfortable to use. I have stayed in many hotels over the years, and I have never encountered a toilet in such a neglected state.
The room also had a strong musty smell, which made it feel damp and uncomfortable. During our stay, a strong cleaning or chemical solution was sprayed in the hallway, and the odor quickly entered our room. Since there was no effective way to ventilate the space, the smell lingered for quite some time.
What concerned us most, however, was the presence of cockroaches in the room, including one found on the bed. This was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable in a hotel room. I have attached a photo of one of the cockroaches we saw.
Overall, the room did not meet the standard of cleanliness and maintenance we expected, and unfortunately, this had a significant impact on our stay.
