Good location. Not VFM and poor bedding.

Cons:

Breakfast not included in a hefty room rate. Bed was badly made with bedding not fitting the mattress nor the duvet! Not a boutique luxury hotel!

Historic hotel with character and a great central location
Pros:

The building has plenty of character and feels in keeping with the historic surroundings. The location is a real highlight, making it easy to explore the city on foot.

Rooms are comfortable and well presented, and the overall experience feels relaxed and easy.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout.

Very comfortable but pricy for the room only for one person.

The two night stay was enjoyable and would stay there again.
Pros:

A beautiful boutique hotel with a peaceful atmosphere set in an accessible central location and only 10 minutes walk from the railway station.Comfortable beds and excellent bathroom facilities.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The continental breakfasts were plentiful and enjoyable, providing for all tastes.

Cons:

A small lounge area would have been welcomed.
Unfortunately, the restorative building work to the adjacent property caused noise in the mornings, but this was unavoidable and hopefully will be soon completed.

Great hotel in centre of Oxford but breakfast is limited choice for the price
Pros:

Room very comfortable if small. Location excellent right in the centre of Oxford which was perfect we were attending the Oxford Literacy Festival so most locations where only 5-10 minutes walk. Breakfast was ok but limited choice. Staff were very helpful.

Breakfast was ok but for the price I felt there was very limited choice. Since this is one of the most expensive hotels in Oxford you would expect to have more choice or something hot.

Comfortable, clean, convenient for bus to park and ride and New Theatre and the city
Pros:

Excellent location very convenient we took the park and ride from Redbridge into Oxford and it was very easy with the hotel being a short walk from the bus stop. The room was comfortable and clean, everything worked as expected and the shower was great. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were very accommodating. Cant tell you about breakfast because we found a little place around the corner which served our purpose. All in all a great stay.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. - Zentrale Lage. - Alles bestens.
Pros:

Das Vanbrugh House ist ein kleineres, nettes Hotel.-Das Personal ist extrem bemüht, auf alle Wünsche und Fragen einzugehen und zu helfen. Beim Frühstück ist Alles vorhanden. Auf Allergien und Unverträglichkeiten wird Rücksicht genommen. Diese einfach beim Einchecken bekannt geben.

Cons:

Es hätte Nichts besser sein können. - Eventuell sollte die Option angeboten werden, die Handtücher nicht täglich zu wechseln aus Umweltschutzgründen.
