Pros:

It is very cozy and inviting, upon entrance into the lobby. Front desk staff are just great!! My room was immaculate, spacious and fully appointed perfectly. I will be returning very soon... thank you to all!!

Enjoyable and I would stay again for sure.
Pros:

For the age of the building, the facilities were very clean and well taken care of. I have stayed in hotels that are fairly new and the showers are water damaged and wallpaper falling off walls. You can tell that this hotel is very proud of it and keeps up with regular maintenance. Even the woodwork in the stairwells had zero damage. I was very impressed. Location was amazing in downtown Victoria. Easy access by car to shopping centres as well. It was a 5 minute walk away from the water❤️

Cons:

There were two things that I was not impressed about.
1) our view was a brick wall, literally. I wish we would have been told that this was the view, and I would have paid for an upgrade or asked for a room change. Once we were in the room, I didn’t bother asking because I was exhausted. I had been up since 3:30am CST and took 2 planes and a ferry to get there.
2)beds…..they were hard and could use an upgrade for sure. The pillows had also worn out and had no structure left in them. I could still sleep, but woke up with a sore neck.

Beautiful stay, friendly staff in the best location.
Pros:

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The location cannot be beat and we just loved the old building and the ambiance. Great food around the corner! And parking. It will be our new go to when in Victoria.

Cons:

The only thing I didn’t like is that they require a traditional credit card for check-in. We don’t use credit cards, only debit visa & MC. We do have a Koho credit card for things like this but not a physical card. Usually hotels will let us pay a bigger deposit on debit and then they refund us that deposit upon check-out. But this hotel would not budge.

Pros:

The staff was a accommodating. We arrived very early and for a fee of 25 they checked us in close to 4 hours earlier which was appreciated.
I asked for more towels and some lotion and these were given graciously. Everything was quite comfortable. There was room to put our belongings and toiletries. Glass glasses and ceramic cups, a plus. They also had free items to give if you forgot a few things at home. All was great. Was worried might be noisy but really wasn't too bad considering the busy street and entertainment area granted it was a Tues and Wed.

Cons:

The coffee in the room was not good. However the complimentary coffee in the lobby was great!

Ideal location for walking around downtown Victoria and the inner harbour.
Pros:

Having a secure place to store our luggage before we were able to check in was very helpful and being able to check in early was a real bonus.

Great spot!
Pros:

The neighbourhood was perfect for exploring, beds were comfy - and the coffee machine in the lobby was definitely a perk!
Anja at the front desk was beyond helpful - that girl deserves a raise!

Great location!
Pros:

Location & reasonable price point

Cons:

We booked the room to have a pack & play for our son & they told us we needed to upgrade, at check in. There was some back & forth but they eventually said we could stay in the Queen room. But, I wasn’t too pleased initially!
