Centrally located hotel but the AC needs sorting.
Pros:

Large comfortable room right in the heart of Victoria and no too expensive.

Cons:

Air conditioning far too noisy. Odd hotel setup - just a lobby with rooms, no seating areas etc

Tried this place out and was pleasantly surprised
Pros:

We usually stay at another hotel when in Victoria, but it was $$$ with FIFA World cup price jack up, so we decided to try The Strathcona based on the price and location. It IS a great location, with (paid) parking not far away; great staff at check in and checking out. Nice room.

Cons:

Just a single pod of coffee per person. There’s a coffee machine in the lobby, but that wasn’t convenient when we wanted it. And then we saw it was broken the next morning upon check out.

Great location and good bed, but fell short on expectation from picture
Pros:

Location is great, bed is comfortable. Great customer service.

Cons:

Very noisy. Very small room. Coffee nespresso machine was on service during our stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of PARI.
Pros:

The most important part was the hospitality of PARI, the attendant in Lobby of the hotel. She is very curtious , respectful and helpful. She deserves our appreciation and I hope the hotel administration appreciates her services too.

Everything went smoothly

Great location, friendly staff

Cons:

They take a security deposit out which is pretty old school. No mini bar or Anthony else to spend your money on.so why not a pre authorisation
