Girls weekend
Pros:

It was central downtown Victoria. The room was very clean.

Cons:

I only didn't care for the nose from outside but I realize it's an older building and it's downtown. And it wasn't really bad.

Great stay in downtown Victoria
Pros:

Friendly reception staff (Pavlo?), modern room, very clean.

Cons:

Would prefer a proper duvet with duvet cover. Here you get layers of sheets and a blanket in between, it all falls apart over night.

Everything you need for a few days stay in the heart of Victoria.
Pros:

The location was perfect, and the hotel was very reasonably priced compared to others in that area. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The coffee bar in the lobby was a nice perk. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Pros:

Central location, close to restaurants and the Royal Theatre. Reasonable price and clean, recently renovated room.

Cons:

Long, slow line up for check in. Suspect late 4 pm check-in might be the reason. Rooms are for sleeping (views are tops of and sides of buildings), but rooms are vomfortable with all amenities you need.

Pros:

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We even had daily housekeeping, which is rare these days. The Strathcona is a very well run hotel that provides excellent service.

Cons:

There were some very minor issues, but nothing that affected our stay or our opinion of the Strathcona and not even worth mentioning.
