Location
I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The service from the staff was not welcoming, and we felt uncomfortable during our stay.
We only found out after arriving that the jacuzzi required an additional charge of £25 per person. Considering the already high price of the hotel, this was unexpected and disappointing.
When we went to the pool area, there was another charge of £20 per person. We asked whether drinks were included or available to purchase, but after asking, we were completely forgotten and received no response.
After paying all the extra fees, we were only allowed to use the jacuzzi for 15 minutes before being asked to leave because the next guests were due to arrive. This felt rushed and poor value for money.
Overall, the experience was not what we expected from a hotel charging premium rates. We felt unwelcome during parts of our stay, and the customer service fell well below the standard we anticipated. Unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.
Location was beautiful itself.
This hotel needs renovation immidietly, it is in a poor condition. Hotel room bedsheets were dirty, no bathrobes or slippers in the room. Room had a wierd smell of dirtiness. No airconditioning. Restaurant was awful. Chef had no idea how to cook a proper french fries or risotto. Overall prices did not met the expected quality. Spa area was also in poor condition, outside the grass area had a geese poop everywhere. Not children friendly hotel at all. Very little timetable for swimming in the morning. Hotelroom cards did not worked properly. And while staying there had my kids sunglasses stolen.
Beautiful surroundings
Friendly and efficient staff
Dog friendly
The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom.
Only a minor thing but it was very warm in the night and there wasn't any way to open a window so slept on top of the bed.
The hotel was aesthetically pleasing from the outside. Lovely location. Good leisure facilities
Good breakfast. Staff were friendly. We stayed in the cottage which was lovely.
We booked for 7 people but were only given beds for 5, so 2 of our party had to sleep on the floor. We were told someone would contact us the next day to offer an apology and refund, but no one has been in touch yet for a month despite me emailing them.
Also, the doorlock for one of the rooms was broken so we had to be let in by staff and had to be careful not to let the door close. The light in that room was also not working. There was damage to the curtains, and the washing machine was flooding the kitchen floor when we arrived. All this despite being told someone had prepared the cottage for us just that morning.
It was offensive to expect us to pay full price for all of this and for sleeping on the floor or sofa.
I loved the accomodation and general atmosphere you can take beautiful pictures and create good memories and the staff are amazing and very helpful if you need help. Staff were very friendly.
I didn’t like their food their food was extremely bad and on our first morning breakfast items ran out and in general they is no variety on their breakfast menu. The fish we had for dinner was off and after complaining to the manager we were given a complementary dessert.
Beautiful location
No improvement required
Arrival and registration was easy and quick. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Great location
Location, cleanliness, comfortable rooms
Breakfast, Location, staff, room
Some of the decoration and furniture was not to my taste - classically styled. The gym was small and busy.
Good location and car parking
Well trained staff
Poor quality bedroom with threadbare carpet
The breakfast was just adequate with only cheap sliced bread ( no working toaster ) no pastry selection or fresh fruit selection
No hot water machine for tea making ( only a thermos flask of water ) Luke warm coffee from a coffee jug
The property was situated in a nice area with the part of the hotel on its own little island which was stunning to look at
Upon check in we were allocated room 35, when we tried to enter there was a couple already in the room, we where then given a different room, the room was quite spacious, the bed was uncomfortable, the heating was on full blast & couldn’t be turned off due to a damage dial which had broken off, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant & the food wasn’t great. We were charged for a Pepsi which we didn’t recieve.
It was full of character & history
The Rain
The scenery the location is nice
The noise level the rooms are outdated the position of the rooms right through the bar area bed uncomfortable
