The ease of being able to go out and smoke close to the building and feeling pretty safe
I like the manager and several of the employees
Not enough food for everyone and not enough servers or help during the breakfast rush.. people had called in and supposedly the truck didn't make it with the food 1 day, but it actually did. They just didn't have enough employees to keep up with putting everything out. It really sucked, probably one of the worst breakfast experiences I've had at a hotel
I love the room. I was able to entertain my friends who visited me from Everett
I wish breakfast was included
Great location. Multiple events walking distance. Monorail nearby that gets you to the aquarium and marketplace.
Great location. Walking distance to many good events. Monorail close by to get to the aquarium and market place.
Room was exceptional! Breakfast buffet was delicious!
The cost
Really lovely hotel steps away from the Space needle, Museum of Pop Culture and the Chihuly Gardens. Wonderful breakfast options and you can get foot at the bar in the evening. Everything was very clean and we would definitely stay there again. It is also close to the monorail which can get you downtown. We took the link from there to the airport ($3) which is by far your cheapest option and was hassle free if you don't have a ton of luggage.
My wife and I stayed at Hyatt House Seattle downtown recently prior to Alaska cruise. Location is very close to the Space Needle. We were able to get there from airport via Link train and monorail. Room was good size with bigger kitchen than most hotel rooms and seating area. Hotel was clean. Service was friendly. Noise level was not an issue. It is decorated nicely and did not feel outdated. There is restaurant available for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was busy due to number of people taking cruises. They do offer shuttle service for fee to cruise docks. We had nice time and it fit the need.
It is literally across the street Space Needle and surrounding attractions like Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum, Pop Museum, Pacific Science Museum, and monorail. Love that you get a view of the Space Needle from your room, and access to 8th floor roof top terrace for amazing Space Needle evening views.
Plan ahead for parking, it cost $45 when available. There isn't a pool.
The hotel was one block away from the Seattle Space Needle Park Center. Several restaurants were within one or a few blocks away.
There was only one grab bar for the combined bath tub and shower. At least one additional bar in the wall would have been helpful while maneuvering in the tub.
Location
Close to airport. Bed comfortable
Breakfast bad. Person in breakfast didn’t respond if missing items until forever. One coffee machine did not work. One had watery coffee.
Someone knocked on my door at 8:30. When I answered no one there but their cart was there. I had rushed out so left key in room and had to get another.
Most importantly I had stayed there a week earlier and they never had returned by $50 extra deposit. I don’t think it’s going to be returned.
The location of the hotel is great if you are there to sight-see. It is close to the monorail to take you downtown and next to the Space Needle and other attractions. It is a close walk to other districts to find some nice restaurants. I worried that the hotel would be lacking in comfort and quality because it is in a desired area, but those concerns were quickly relieved. We stayed in an interior room that looked out over the atrium. We could see the Space Needle, kind of, but we weren’t there for that view. Our room was really quiet. It was also a spacious suite with a kitchenette. The bathroom was large and we had a lot of space for our family of 5.
My family and I recently stayed at Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown during the FIFA World Cup, and I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation.
Seattle was hosting its first World Cup matches, and with any major event making its debut in a city, you expect a few growing pains. Instead, our experience was absolutely fantastic, and Hyatt House played a huge role in making our trip memorable.
The location is simply unbeatable. Getting there from the airport was incredibly easy—we took the Link Light Rail and transferred to the Monorail, and the hotel was literally across the street from the station. The photos online do not do the location justice. I couldn’t believe how close we were to both the Monorail and the Space Needle. Many hotels advertise themselves as being “near” the Space Needle, but Hyatt House truly is right there.
For World Cup visitors, this location couldn’t be better. Seattle Center was the hub of the city’s World Cup watch parties, fan activities, and family entertainment. My kids were able to enjoy the games, play in the nearby parks, and experience everything Seattle Center had to offer. The free waterfront shuttle buses, which ran every 15 minutes, made it easy to explore the city without needing a car. We could easily visit Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and even get to Lumen Field for matches and events.
Our room was outstanding. I had seen a few mixed reviews before booking, but our experience was excellent. We stayed in a spacious room with two queen beds, a separate living area, and a kitchenette. Anyone who has traveled with children knows how valuable that setup is. The kitchenette allowed us to bring back leftovers, order DoorDash, store snacks, and eat on our own schedule instead of being tied to restaurant hours.
The complimentary breakfast was another pleasant surprise. This wasn’t a basic continental breakfast—it was a full buffet with an impressive variety of options. There were scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, hash browns, oatmeal, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, fresh fruit, vegetables, a tortilla station, bagels, pastries, pancakes, French toast, juices, and more. Every morning, everyone in my family found something they enjoyed, which made starting our days much easier.
As a parent, I especially appreciated the hotel’s location. Whenever the kids needed a quick break, a restroom, or some downtime, we could simply walk back to the room. That convenience made our entire trip less stressful and more enjoyable.
If you’re debating between Hyatt House and Hyatt Place, I would strongly recommend Hyatt House, especially for families. The larger rooms and kitchenette made a significant difference during our stay.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. Whether we had questions about transportation, local attractions, or World Cup events, they always had answers and great recommendations. Their hospitality helped transform a great trip into a truly magical one.
I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hyatt House Seattle/Downtown to families, World Cup visitors, and anyone looking for an ideal Seattle location with exceptional service.
Across the street from the space needle and close to the market.
The location, the space in the room.
The elevators didn’t work well, there was always a line.
