Nothing really

$1,110.17 paid for 4 nights stay but no housekeeping for the entire 5 days. They did give us clean towels when we trooped all the way to reception to get some but if your not servicing rooms at least leave enough supplies to last for the paying guests whole stay (cleaner in hallway told us we weren’t entitled to housekeeping it’s not done until we check out) but ask receptionist if we need new towels. Coles supermarket is very close just a couple minutes walk away thank goodness as we had to go buy coffee, milk and some dishwashing liquid to wash our dishes during our stay. These items were provided but only very very limited supply used first day then nothing is replenished during multiple days of our visit so we had to go buy them.
Cooking utensils, some plates and a few pieces of cutlery definitely were not cleaned prior to our arrival I had to wash many items before we could use them (look people are dirty we get that not everyone cleans after themselves but cleaners really need to check this stuff) microwave had to be cleaned had obviously heated spaghetti or something like that before our arrival has I had to wipe out pasta sauce before using it. Other than cooking equipment and a few plates, cutlery being dirty or not cleaned the apartment was spacious, clean, well presented. Everything we needed for a few days, well equipped little units. All newish well working appliances and equipment, cosy comfortable quiet unit, very comfortable beds, great showers excellent water pressure and temperature- loved the showers!

Went out one night getting back around midnight and couldn’t gain access to the hotel. Very very frustrating as speaker/reception phone box wasn’t working or in use. I couldn’t even just go sit in my car as my car keys were in my room!
We all had our room cards with us none would work. Not one of them. We tried calling phone didn’t answer as reception was closed. I ended up calling hotel through booking dot com (where I booked the stay) phone was answered by Quest reception but not at that hotel it was a general question hotels line. This was a bit frustrating as at first he said he couldn’t help and I’d need to go to reception in the morning- after me being a little ticked off and saying I think you don’t understand we are locked out on the street we can’t gain access at all we’ve got a two bedroom paid for accommodation and we can’t get in and you need to send someone to let us in, after a frustrating five minutes wait he said oh sorry I thought you were just locked out of your room but your locked out of the whole building- I said yes but not that that is any different I’m locked out regardless I can’t get to my room I’ve paid for. He contacted the night manager and then told us to just wait someone will come. We felt terrible because obviously the night manager had been sleeping and I felt bad but it wasn’t my fault at all he had to issue us with a new room key so we could get in to our room so it took him longer and he helped us but I felt so bad getting him out of bed and he was tired and took him a few minutes to function I just kept apologising as though we were in the wrong it made me feel so uncomfortable and as if I was doing something wrong by him. This is not a great situation to be in when your staying somewhere without night reception it was a stressful 25 minutes late at night in a strange city where you don’t know anyone.

Rubbish had not been cleared from previous guest and both bins in kitchenette were full. Reception staff member was apologetic and can to clean immediately.

Bloated milk in fridge looked off, so didn't use. Building has been renovated - some time ago, getting worn now. Small cramped lift
