Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig!
The location and staff was nice
Not worth $900. The mattress wasn’t comfortable. The pictures were way nicer than the actual room. The carpet was coming off the tile and I stepped on a carpet staple.
The pictures were much prettier than the room. We really could have used 3 chairs instead of 2. What if there were 4 of us ?
The property was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hot beverage machine in the lobby was fantastic and appreciated. The gym was nice to use. The pool/hot tub were too busy to us but looked nice. The sauna was a nice bonus. The shampoo/conditioner were great quality and smelled nice. Lots of parking and great location. The breakfast in the morning was really nice too. Lots of food that filled us up to start the day.
Room service wasn’t automatic. I miss the instructions to request room service. But it was easy to get clean towels.
Don’t waste your money on this dump. Check-in is 4pm but our room wasn’t ready until 5:30pm. This is nothing more than a dumpy motel. The room smelled like chlorine when we walked in and the beds suck. I’ve stayed at 4 star hotels for this price of almost $400. The mattresses are old and bouncy. The only positive is the air conditioning works.
Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with my stay. I will never stay at a Best Western ever again.
We were not able to check into our hotel room until several hours after our advertised check in time. No communication was made to us prior to arriving at the hotel about our room not being ready. No concessions were made at that time because our booking was done through hotels.com.
During our stay our room developed a significant water leak from a ceiling light/fan fixture. This happened very late at night; I called down to the front desk and after waiting for several minutes I received a call back. By this time the water leak from the ceiling had mostly stopped, however we used all our hotel towels mitigating the water leak. The staff offered an adjacent room for us to stay in. However, it was very late at night and we had sleeping children and being that the water leak seemed to have stopped on its own we opted to stay in our room.
When we came back to our room the next day, the water leak was still active.
The hotel had not sent anyone to fix the leak and they had not sent anyone from housekeeping to clean up the huge water mess.
I went and spoke with the front desk staff personally and asked for assistance, however we never received any for the remainder of our stay. We spent the majority of our time out of the room because of this issue.
We then had to leave the property several hours earlier than our scheduled check out time due to the bathroom being unusable. It was unusable because of an active water leak and a standing water all over the floor. Again, I called down to the front desk early on the morning of our check out to ask for assistance and they didn't provide any. After telling them that morning what the issues were that we were having, the response from staff was "Ok". The onsite manager was never available, and I was never able to speak to them.
This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had and I will not be staying a best western ever again.
Yes i had reserved 3 rooms for saturday July 18, 2026. We got there around 4 for check in we literally had to wait over 2 hours before our rooms were ready. Then my room I went take shower but had no conditioner so had go to office to get some. Then my main light was about to blow which wasnt a big deal i was going to go to sleep for the night. But the kicker of it was we went to ocean for little bit this morning an as you know that sand is nasty, so we all were going to get quick shower but i go up to my room and the door is braced open with dead lock an i push door open an they have already stripped everything an took all the towels an i hadnt even checked out. So therefore i was basicly screwed an had to find some water just to try to get my feet clean. I really wasnt trying to complain but going in my room before I even had checked out it’s totally unacceptable by any standard means. And then when you email the manager, she absolutely refuses to even email back or acknowledge there was a problem.
Breakfast was great only complaint it was so hot up there
Room wasn’t that clean and pool too cold
Location was great

The hotel has some nice features, especially the complimentary breakfast, which was a great way to start the day. The room itself was comfortable, and the location worked well for our trip.
Unfortunately, our experience with the front desk was disappointing. We booked the room for four guests and requested four towels, but the staff member only provided two, stating that it was hotel policy. It was inconvenient to have to ask again for basic amenities that matched the number of registered guests.
We also had repeated issues with our room key card not working, which required us to return to the front desk for a replacement. While these may seem like minor issues, they affected the overall convenience and enjoyment of our stay.
The location was easy access to the redwoods
We were put in a horrible room under the stairs. It was loud all day and night. The price was horrible for what we were paying for.
Not much. Breakfast was best part.
Deeply stained carpet, worn sheets. Really needs updating. Priced like a luxury hotel but it is substandard. Would never stay here again.
Lack of care or money or staff or something here. Had multiple issues with key card, mattress worn out and uncomfortable (parents don’t let your kids jump on beds), bathroom door scuffed, breakfast over at 9, floor scratched, and in general needs an interior upgrade. Bothered me that Crescent City has had over 32 tsunamis since the 30’s and there were no directions on what to do if the sirens went off. In our other coastal hotels there was information in plain sight in the rooms. I’ll bet the 1964 tsunami had hit where the hotel sat.
The breakfast was in lovely location and the staff was great. Food was the usual. Front desk staff was very polite as well.
Facilities are old and need some upgrading.
