Sorry I didn’t eat breakfast bed was to comfortable slept until time to check out
Plenty of room to get around in room specially for my partner who is in wheelchair
The location was nice. All the great seafood restaurants were on the same road as the hotel just off the main highway. There was road noise from the main highway but it did not bother us. The king bed was as comfortable as ours at home. Room had a couch, coffee table, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The coffee in the lobby was delicious. The free breakfast was great and the lady who took care of it was so pleasant. Tammy at the front desk was awesome. She told us to go to the Jetty for a meal and she was spot on. We would love to go back in the summer. We felt very comfortable there.
I told them my husband had heart issues and they still put our room just about as far from the elevator as they could.
My spouse and I were slated to attend a Gala Reception at the Chesapeak Bay Beach Club. We only live 60 miles away however with an open bar at thr gala and my problems with night driving we checked out the very nice looking rooms at the Inn at the Chesapeak Bay Beach Club. They however started at about $300 and night and up.
So instead I looked into facilities near the Marina Beach Club and landed on this venue. Best Western Kent Narrows Inn.
Uber to and from the Marina beach club about $10 each way and $ savings of $150 to $300. As we were only sleeping in one night that seemed like a reasonable compromise.
The Inn is clean. The rooms are motel style/quality. The staff attentive.
Good firm matresses and a bath/shower which can be a little disconcerting for older folks with some balance issues.
The Inn is on the South side of and quite near Route 50 (as is the Holiday Inn on the North side of that busy industrial highway) so a light sleeper may be bothered by truck noise at night. You can ask for a room on the South side of the Inn and then you would be fine.
The Saturday we were there there was a club baseball tournament in town so lots of kids. There is a small pool (perfect for kids) and a "gym" exercise room.
The (complimentary) breakfast was mediocre at best. Weak coffee, juice cocktails, watery "scrambled eggs", The aforementioned kids however loved the waffles and the small breakfast room was jam packed. Anyway you get what you pay for. With all the lovely historic towns nearby, getting a good Eastern Shore breakfast buffet on a Sunday mid-morning is not a challenge!
Overall rating is 8 because wee knew what we were getting, we wanted price and convenience and were well werved.
Great location to area restaurants
Very clean
The view was good. And, I enjoyed the breakfast. There was an issue with getting into my room the morning of my departure and staff (front office and tech) were both very helpful.
I was cold during my entire trip. The room was cold and the hotel hadn't provided blankets of any kind. I needed to ask for an extra comforter.
Breakfast and the lady who serviced the breakfast area. She was excellent.
We are seniors and my husband is a disabled vet. Since we had never been to the facility, we did not know that there were 3 floors, a long walk to the room, etc. When we realized that we would have to walk with luggage the whole width of the building, take an elevator and do that again the next day, we asked for a room on the first floor so that we could park in front of the room with a minimum of walking. When we arrived, there were no customers and plenty of rooms available on the first floor. The person on duty would not accommodate us. So we will never return to your facility, and never do business with Best Western again.
The location is great, with a nice view of the river, and close to nice trails
