Breakfast choices
The bed was rock hard!
Friendly staff and nice hot tub
Room was definitely NOT clean enough!! There was dust in the most obvious and visible places and the floor and corners looks dirty. Not to mention that my husband saw bugs and the staff said of course bugs will come in through the exterior AC unit.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was very nice. And breakfast was delicious.

Enjoyed our stay here, the location is great if you're wanting to go to the State Park beach!
Very much appreciate the fact that it was pet friendly! Nice green space to walk the pup.
All staff encountered were friendly and welcoming, I would definitely stay here again!
Great location and clean.
We stayed here with our soccer team for the annual Soccer in the Sand tournament at the state park. It was close to town and the beach but not walkable. The room itself was exactly what you'd expect from a Best Western - fine, no issues, not fancy, standard.
We stayed on the second floor of the main building. The room featured a decent-sized mini-fridge and a microwave (which we didn't use), and the two queen beds were comfortable. I really appreciated that the window could slide open for fresh air. While the room wasn't overly stuffy, hotel rooms can always use a bit of fresh air. The shower appeared to have a relatively new liner, which was nice, and we also appreciated having the sink separate from the toilet and shower area. Overall, the room was quite clean.
Behind the main building is a nice courtyard with lounge chairs. While this setup leaves the door open for potential noise from loud guests, we didn't experience any issues during our stay.
As for the price, the value wasn't great. Rates were high (probably due to the soccer tournament) so I can't say it was a fantastic deal for our stay. However, it looks like prices are much more reasonable at other times of the year.
The morning breakfast was solid. The kids loved the waffles and eggs, the pastries were good, and the biscuits and gravy were edible.
While I typically prefer hotels that are within walking distance to my main destination, I would still stay here again. If being within walking distance to the beach and town isn't a dealbreaker for you, I'd recommend this hotel.
