The location was perfect for the shows at Bethel Woods, room was comfy and clean. Check in was quick and everyone was super friendly. The shower water pressure is the absolute best! No low-flow shower heads here Kramer. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from, kids loved it. If there are good concerts at Bethel Woods again next summer we will definitely book this hotel again!!
Rooms are very dated, bathroom sink and mirror is in the room. If your looking to sleep in and your partner needs 4hrs to get ready those stadium lights are not your friend.

Very friendly front desk staff. Attractive carpeting in hallways.
Some of the breakfast options (yogurt, bananas, knives) were not replenished as early as 8:00.
We had a great stay at The Monticello Great Western! Our check in was easy with a very helpful clerk familiar with the historical Woodstock location. Enjoyed a light continental breakfast before drive home.
The room doors were loud when they closed behind you. To loud to sleep in as others were leaving.

The carpet is very old. The room and the premises smelled very musty. The large whirlpool tub in the room had a plug that I could not get to fit, rendering the tub unusable. The tub was the only reason I chose that room and its much higher price tag, and then I couldn't use it. When I told the night staffer about this, she said that the previous tenant of the room must have switched out the tub plug. She did not come up to take a look or figure this out. When I told the manager the next morning as I checked out, she did go check and got the plug to fit, although she admitted it was hard to figure out. She did not give me any compensation. As a result, I cancelled my next reservation at a Best Western, and I doubt that I will stay in one again.
The bed was comfortable. Both my husband and I slept well.
The complementary breakfast was adequate. The sausage was over cooked, hard and uneditable. The toaster did not toast only gave me warm bread. We actually had to leave and purchase breakfast elsewhere.

Acoustics - typical for this type of hotel - one can hear tv’s etc from other rooms-

Trash bin at front door was overflowing with garbage and another full trash bag sitting next to it. Not a good first impression!
