Quiet environment

My room had rotten food in the fridge that stunk up the whole room when I opened it. When I told the front desk they responded with “oh, okay.”
The girl at the front counter was helpful and understanding. But that’s about it.
It was so dirty. It was so grungy and outdated. When we got there there were bugs in the bathroom. There was spider webs everywhere and stuff all over the floor. It looked like no one has touched it in years. Got “upgraded” to the suit. It was a bit better but not by much. There was blood on the walls. Everything is stained. There was stuff on the floor. My self and my wife actually considered checking out at 12am and driving the 1.5 hrs back home. Would not recommend staying at this location and I’ll be telling everyone to stay away. Your pay the price of a good best western hotel room and get your dive motel room. The price was crazy high and you didn’t even get breakfast with it. Good thing because we probably would have got sick.

I feel that we paid a lot for a very small room. There were two beds crammed into the room and it was very awkward to get into the wardrobe to get at the suitcase rack as the door opened the wrong way.
There was no chair in the room, which is standard in all hotel rooms!
The TV picture quality was very poor.
There was black mould on the bathtub.
The grounds of the hotel were in very poor condition, bith inside and in! The grass was poorly cut or not cut at all in some areas. The whole hotel needs a complete makeover. It's very tired.
We traveled from Toronto to the Ottawa area and stayed overnight in hotels in Gananoque, Rigaud and Renfrew, and the Renfrew hotel was the most expensive and the worst of the three.
I would not reccommend it.
It was easy to find and park.Room and bathroom was clean. There was coffee, tea and a coffee machine in the room. Staff was pleasant.
The bed mattress was too hard, pillows were like bricks, duvet and linen were sliding. Walls were thin, so we could hear guest coming in at 4am. Hated automatic check in and check out and didn’t use it.

Hallway stank, TV noise from neighbors until midnight—walls are not soundproof.
Entire property shabby: broken glass door, rust in sink, hole in wall.
Breakfast was unavailable even if website stated otherwise.
