The staff we encountered was incredibly kind and helpful. I enjoyed the varity if items on the breakfast buffet a well.

I liked the location.. that was it

Cons:

First and foremost the customer service; it’s actually the reason I went next door to their competitor instead of extending my stay… neither of the ladies at the front desk could understand me, and they acted like it was my fault for communicating in English. It took fifteen minutes to get them to understand that I would like to put something in the freezer. After that I avoided asking for anything else.

The value for money is just not there. In the time that I stayed at the facility housekeeping did not come once to clean my room. Resulting in me needing to ask for a plunger more then once as the toilet kept on getting clogged and asking for more toilet paper.

OUTSTANDING!!!!
Pros:

This hotel is one of the best Best Westerns I've ever stayed until now.
It is very well maintained, both inside and out.
Smells clean.
I want to thank Miss Erin who accommodated us in the best possible way.
After a day on the road with rain all day, being welcomed as she did was a great comfort.
Our room was spotless, everything worked perfectly.
Comfortable bed.
Clean bathroom.
The pool and spa area are very well maintained.
Breakfast great ans Coffee Machine,with truly espresso.
Safe and quiet place.
With several shops and a Walmart very close by.
We will return.

Policy over People Zero empathy to help folks in a crisis!
Pros:

Deeply Disappointed by Management’s Lack of Compassion
We’ve owned and operated a small family moving company for 34 years, and on rare occasions, unexpected delays happen. During our most recent trip, our truck broke down on the highway in another city. I called early that morning and also followed up by email to explain the situation and cancel our reservation.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Kay Yoo, the manager/owner of this Best Western Plus in Tehachapi refused to cancel or refund the night. My son was traveling with his father, who has a serious brain disease, and despite explaining our situation and pleading for understanding, she showed zero compassion or flexibility.
We were charged nearly $200 for a night we physically could not make it to. In all our years of travel and partnership with Best Western, we have never been treated this way, other locations have always shown empathy and worked with us in similar circumstances.
I will NEVER stay here again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this property as long as it is managed by someone who seems to care more about policy than people.

Best Western Minus!
Pros:

A standard Best Western Plus in appearance. Far less in the details. Half the staff is delightful. Half the staff is not. The breakfast area is small and far below anything seen in many tens of hotel stays. Food and coffee runs out early and is only replaced by tracking down rare staff. The location is near perfect, but we will avoid this place in the future

Pros:

Room not the cleanest, with hair in bathroom and trash in room that wasn’t mine. Fridge did not work properly, would either freeze items or not keep them cold enough. No bags for ice. Keycard was finicky and took several waves to get in any door. TV remote didn’t work properly. Ambivalent front desk staff. Overall, a very poor experience for the $300 I spent on two nights in this room. Would not recommend ever.
