Unexpected Gem
Pros:

What an unexpected little gem on our way to the mountains from Texas! The service was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The shower had excellent water pressure. The breakfast was well stocked and the seating area had lots of space. Very very pleased with the value as well! Will make this a repeat stop!

Phenomenal customer service!
Pros:

The customer service was phenomenal! We called to let them know that our flight got cancelled which caused us to not be able to check in until 3 AM. The night time attendant was amazing and told us it was no problem. They had 24 hour checkin and service. The attendant even gave us wildlife safety travel tips for our late night drive from the Denver airport to the hotel. She even met us at our van when we pulled in at 3 AM to alert us that a black bear was making their way through their parking lot. That was AMAZING!

Excellent for night after a long travel day
Pros:

We stayed here, with our dog, for one night. We found the toom spacious and comfortable. The dog friendly room had tile floor which I thought was brilliant! We enjoyed our breakfast, also. Check in and out was a breeze. Highly recommended.

A little pricey but the accommodations made up for it and the excellent reviews were spot on.
Pros:

Very different (in a good way) from other locations we were familiar with. Very clean and well secured considering the size of the property. The inside access to the room with elevator was a welcomed surprise. We asked for a room with a tub and we got it.

Cons:

Nothing unusual.

Staff unhappy reflects onto the treatment of the customers
Pros:

The breakfast food was wonderful. The woman who oversaw the entire breakfast was wonderful. The lady at the podium checking people in for breakfast was really not very nice.

Cons:

All of the staff seemed unbelievably unhappy, including the people that knocked on our door at 8:45 in the morning to ask us if we wanted to do early checkout when we didn’t request it and normal checkout is 11 AM so for $227 night they would’ve liked for us to have left early so they could shove us out the door and get someone else in there. I would definitely say much more money driven than customer service driven.

Best Location and Rooms in Raton
Pros:

If looking for an excellent hotel to spend the night, doesn't get any better than Best Western in Raton, NM. Staff very professional, rooms spacious and comfy, location close to highway for easy exit, breakfast and dinner great, shopping area for snacks and souvenirs available, and dogs welcome!!
