Sehr schickes Stadt Hotel in der Altstadt. Alles sehr stilvoll, auch der Frühstücksraum.
Für ein Altstadt Hotel vielleicht nicht ganz ungewöhnlich, aber es ist schon anstrengend, die Koffer von der öffentlichen Tiefgarage ins Hotel zu schleppen. Auch ist das Hotel auf dem Berg, die meisten Restaurants sind aber unten in der Nähe des Hafens, also einige Treppen hoch und runter.

Das Albergo Diffuso Birkin Castelleo liegt in der ZTL-Zone (0 bis 9 Uhr für den Verkehr gesperrt), weshalb es nachts zum Schlafen sehr ruhig ist! Unser Motorrad konnten wir innerhalb der 4 Burgtore auf einem kostenfreien Motorradparkplatz parken (Platz für ca. 5 Mottorräder und 2 oder 3 Autos). Unser Gepäck konnten wir außerhalb der Sperrzeit direkt an der Unterkunft abladen. Zur Info: Die Rezeption liegt 2 Haustüren von der Unterkunft entfernt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Im Haus der Unterkunft haben wir mit unserem 4-Wochen-Motorrad-Gepäck zum Glück den Fahrstuhl nutzen können (um ihn zu rufen, muss man den Knopf die ganze Zeit drücken, das hat uns eine nette Dame im Erdgeschoss gezeigt). Nach der Code-Eingabe steht man zunächst im Empfangsbereich für die Unterkunft. Beim check in erhält man seine Karte und den Code zum Öffnen der Zimmertür. Alles hat eine sehr schöne und hochwertige Ausstattung, im Zimmer und im Frühstücksraum, etc. Es gibt bei schönem Wetter auch eine hübsche kleine Frühstücks-Terrasse, die wir jeden Tag genutzt haben. Beim Frühstück kann man auswählen, in welcher Form man sein Ei bekommen möchte. Dieses wird gemäß der Auswahl auf der Karte frisch zubereitet. Leckere Süßspeisen, Käse, Schinken, Obst, Saft, Quark, etc. schmeckten auch sehr gut. Bis zur wunderschönen Kathedrale und weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten sowie ins Zentrum mit vielen tollen Restaurants und Cafes waren es nur wenige Schritte. Das Ambiente vom Zimmer hat uns außerordentlich gut gefallen, auch wenn es etwas wenig Ablagen gab (ev. wäre eine kleines Sideboard im Zimmer noch möglich). Auch die Dusche, welche man vom Bett aus sehen konnte fanden wir (als Paar) sehr schön :-). Wir fanden Cagliari insgesamt sehr schön und eine sehr lohnenswerte Reise! Die Unterkunft würden wir per Motorrad wieder buchen (Auto und Parkplatzsuche können wir nicht beurteilen). Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen und wir können die Unterkunft von ganzem Herzen weiterempfehlen!!!
Läget, atmosfären i stadsdelen. God frukost.
Vi var tre personer och fick en ”vindsvåning” bestående av två mörka rum utan fönster och lågt i tak (hade vi varit längre hade vi slagit i huvudet). Inredningen var betydligt enklare än i många andra rum av bilderna på Booking att döma. Boendet saknade hiss. Låset till toalettdörren var trasigt och det saknades en list på toaletten. I det ena rummet fanns ett kök men det fanns inget vatten eller utrustning mer än några skedar och glas. Frukosten serverades i ett väldigt litet rum utan AC med bordsservering som tog tid när fler sällskap som åt samtidig. Frukostvärdinnan hanterade även turistskatten i form av kontanter vilket inte känns så hygieniskt. I receptionen, som var mycket enkel arbetade bland annat en manlig receptionist med otrevlig attityd.

Struttura pulita ed accogliente. Buona colazione con opzioni sia dolci (frutta e torte fatte in casa) che salate. Posizione centralissima. Staff gentile e professionale.
Qualche appendino o sedia in più in stanza sarebbero stati utili.
Our corner room was large and well designed, with a charming outlook over two cobbled street (no sea view though). We ordered our breakfast the night before via QR code and it was wheeled on time in the morning, which was very easy. The hotel sent clear instructions to help us find the car park with a lift to the old town - this is essential info as it's not possible to drive directly to the hotel.
We were surprised at our quiet the old town is, with few options for dining especially at night. We felt quite isolated, 20 mins walk via steep stairs into the more vibrant part of the city. The hotel has two very different buildings, quite far apart. Our building was about 10 minutes walk from the car park elevator, along narrow cobbled lanes - tricky if you have wheeled luggage, and even harder given the rooms are on the 3rd floor and the elevator is not working. I suspect the main hotel building would be easier.
