The hotel is in a great location, with a lively and vibrant atmosphere all around. The only major downside for us was the lack of a lift, which made carrying our luggage up to the second floor quite difficult.
Apart from that, it's an excellent no-frills hotel that offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you're looking for good hotel choice in quite , safe and in a convenient location and don't mind the stairs, it's a solid choice.

The room was great and the location was wonderful. Great restaurants and beach steps away from our door.
Storage for toiletries in the shower, like an over-the-showerhead caddy, would have been helpful!
Been staying there for over 30 years and I keep coming back. Rooms are spacious, clean, and the hotel is close to everything one needs to spend a nice time at the beach.

The location and view from the room and the heated pool. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room.
The blinds were broken in almost all the rooms and blocked pretty much no light. The supplies we were given in our room were sparse (5 plates, 3 dishwashing pods, etc). We were told pool towels should be returned by 8pm but then we’d not have towels to use at the pool after 8. The rug im our room was curled at the corner creating a tripping hazard.
We thought for the price we paid we would have been accommodated better.

It needed a lot of updating in the room, very run down and nothing like the photos - sink was clogged, air conditioning was loud and inefficient, and the bedding/towels were not high quality. Room near the pool was loud and bright.
We stayed in an executive suite, which was great for our family with college aged kids. The location was perfect being close to the beach so everyone could walk down on their own schedule. It is a bit of a steep walk, so be prepared. We appreciated the extras available for check out such as beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogie boards and bikes. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and clean. We liked the outside shower to rinse off sand and the ice machine! There was also a small grocery store across the street and several places to grab a bit to eat near by. The inn staff was friendly and helpful. Our room only had 3 bath towels for 5 people, but the front desk staff was able to get more for us by the evening. We would definitely stay here again!
Great views of the ocean with plenty of space comfortable beds, property definitely needs a make over, rusted dishwasher not enough plates and cooking utensils if you intend to self cater no oven dishes. Lamp in second bed huge looks nice but no power point to plug in. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Location was perfect and staff was very friendly. Just a few minutes walk down to the beach! Complimentary beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards are a major plus! Restaurants along the street make meals easy and the room had a large enough mini fridge to store other snacks and perishable foods. Pool is heated, which was nice because it was in the low to mid 70s while we were there. The bathroom left a little to be desired and the room was a bit tight, but it fit the price. Larger rooms are available but we did not reserve in time. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed at the Sea View Inn over a 15 years ago during the earlier years of my marriage. The view is great and I love how close the beach is. Plus Beach Pizza is still amazing. It was also clean which I'm always concerned about.
The place is outdated and seems like nothing but the bedspreads have changed in those 15 years. The picture on the wall was crooked, the outlet was loose, the sliding door would stick, the appliances are all white and dingy looking, the couch bed had a stain on it and felt sunken in the middle, the other chairs had dirty arms, the toilet seat was misshapen so it was hard to sit down properly, the shower head was way too high and there wasn't a place to put any soap or wash cloths, the bathroom door needed a repaint, the balcony could use a fresh coat of paint, and the front door was loose so I was worried someone could come in at any time. The place is worn.
Close access to beach which is nice and excellent deli across the street. Penthouse was too expensive for what it provided which is very outdated. Staff friendly. At a lower price point would represent value for money. Then again it’s summer and World Cup so rooms at a premium
Our stay in Manhattan Beach was absolutely unforgettable, and this property was by far the highlight of our honeymoon accommodations.
During our honeymoon, we stayed in 8 different hotels and accommodations across the United States, and this was the only place that truly went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. While other properties simply acknowledged that we were on our honeymoon (or didn’t mention it at all), the team here took the time to create a genuinely memorable experience for us. Their thoughtful attention to detail, warm hospitality, and personal touches made us feel welcomed, celebrated, and appreciated from the moment we arrived.
The location itself is fantastic—close to the beach, restaurants, and everything Manhattan Beach has to offer—yet peaceful enough to feel like a relaxing escape. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and every interaction with the staff was friendly and professional.
What made the biggest difference was the feeling that they truly cared about their guests. Those small gestures turned an already wonderful stay into one of the most cherished memories of our honeymoon.
If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, exceptional service, and genuine hospitality, look no further. Out of all 8 accommodations we experienced during our honeymoon, this was the only one that made us feel truly special, and for that, we will always remember it.

The location is great and the parking is easy and available. Good views of the ocean, and the a/c works well
The door dead-bolt lock is tough to lock from the inside and you cannot lock the dead-bolt from the outside.
