We loved relaxing in the seating area on the boardwalk outside the restaurants.

Pros:

This hotel is located along the shore walk in Onomichi well located to bike rentals and other bike support Infrastucture. It is geared to support cyclist which most of the guests are. The restaurant is great for dinner (make reservations) and good for breakfast. The accommodations are better than cyclist would normally get on rides but functional perhaps for regular travellers. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. The rooms are a little tight. All and all, a 10 for cyclists and an 8 for non cyclist travellers.

Cool hotel and restaurant/shops in repurposed industrial warehouse.
Pros:

Perfect end to the Shiminami bike ride! Great design and adjacent amenities. Comfortable beds and cool design. Delicious dinner and breakfast.

Lekker ontbijt. Goed bed.

Cons:

Geblindeerde ramen. We zaten aan de zeekant en hadden toch geen uitzicht.
Even iets drinken aan de bar kon niet, we moesten wachten tot de klanten die wilden eten eerst aan de beurt waren voor een tafel. Is niet per se hotel zelf, misschien andere uitbater.
Na het fietsen konden we geen handdoek lenen of huren. Ze verkochten alleen een heel kleintje, formaat gezicht wassen. Had ik voor deze prijs en promo als fietser vriendelijke plek wel verwacht.

Great hotel in Onomichi
Pros:

Spacious room. Well set up for cyclists with bike facilities onsite. Good to have coin operated machines in the hotel.
Great bakery in the building and we enjoyed the restaurant on several occasions. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Pros:

Juste wow ! L’emplacement est parfait à pied de la gare et du départ de vélo . Nous avons couché le premier soir et sommes revenues après notre randonnée à vélo. Nous avons laissé nos valises à l'hôtel et sommes revenus coucher à notre retour du vélo.
Les chambres sont spacieuses et très propres , un restaurant annexe à l'hôtel est très bon et surtout pratique.

Cool spot. Delightful staff, room a bit dark and airless.
Pros:

Shione at the reception was delightful and extremely helpful. She made our stay better! Downstairs the design and shops, bar and restaurant were fabulous. We enjoyed wine overlooking the water and a delicious fish meal.

Cons:

The room didn’t have a window and was hot and way too dark. Whilst I appreciate this might be their ‘design concept’ I think it would be much more pleasant and make for an easier stay if this decor wasn’t so awfully dark!

Wonderful start to Shimanami Kaido
Pros:

Great location near Onomichi station and start of Shimanami Kaido, and in same building as Giant bike rental store.
Restaurant provided delicious and filling pre-ride breakfast.
