A spacious, welcoming hotel with excellent breakfast, thoughtful touches, and outstanding staff.
Pros:

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was much larger than we expected and exceeded our expectations in several ways.

The breakfast was a real highlight: high quality, with a great focus on local produce. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to help us with a number of things. Even when there were language barriers, they made a real effort to communicate using tools like Google Translate, which we really appreciated.

The room itself was excellent, featuring a lovely deep bath, plenty of useful amenities and utensils, and thoughtful touches like chocolates left on the pillow.

The location was also ideal for cycling the Shimanami Kaido, making it a perfect base for that part of the trip.

Schönes Designhotel im Hafen
Pros:

Gemütliches Hotel mit schönem Design, direkt am Wasser. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Auch das Frühstück war gut.

Absolut perfekt für Radfahrer – aber nicht nur die
Pros:

Besser geht ein Radfahrer-Hotel nicht. Hier hat man wirklich alles, was man braucht, das Hotel ist voll auf Radfahrer eingerichtet, die den Shimanami Kaidō fahren wollen. Bis hin zu Colnago Bikes auf Rollen zum Warmfahren im Hotel und Duschen vor dem Gebäude für alle, die schon ausgecheckt sind und sich nach der Tour und vor der Weiterreise frisch machen und umziehen wollen. Auch ein großer GIANT-Bikeshop ist im Gebäude untergebracht, wo man sich Räder leihen oder kleine Reparaturen machen lassen oder Ausrüstung kaufen kann. Aber auch so ist das Hotel ein Volltreffer! Ein altes Lagergebäude am Hafen, stylisch im industriellen Chic umgebaut zu einer coolen Unterkunft. Dazu gehören auch ein auch öffentlich zugängliches Restaurant und ein Café mit Bäckerei, alles ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben hier jedenfalls einen Tag mit Dauerregen sehr gut verbringen können. Das Frühstück ist ein japanisch-europäischer Mix, es gibt auch Ceareals und Brot, Croissants etc. Das Personal ist super-freundlich, wie überall in Japan. Tipp: Möglichst die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss wählen, die anderen haben, soweit ich das sehen konnte, keine Fenster. In jedem Fall: Höchstwertung, das Cycle Hotel ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und nicht mal besonders teuer, im Gegenteil
