After a long, windy transfer we arrived at 2.15pm expecting lunch or at least a drink to be very brusquely told lunch was over and as we were on full board with drinks with meals our dinner did not start until 8pm!!! Room in annexe was very bare, ripped bed base, holes in curtains, cheap furniture. We had a great sea view as we were on top floor, people below only looked at trees. Food was hit and miss - never very hot. Desserts same each night and we were there for over 2 weeks. No Jet2 rep despite being told at airport we would be contacted by one. No Jet2 notice board just a book which had not been updated since May. Very little in Orebic - just ferry to Korcula and a few nice walks. I complained about lack of rep and eventually one contacted me and said there was a tour lady in next hotel (not Jet2) if I wanted a trip. Transfer was hours before necessary time - lied to - told it was because it had to also transfer Korcula guests - it only picked up 6 people from our hotel. We had to sit at airport for 4.5 hours. Ordered breakfast bag with specifically no meat - each had meat!!! Staff arguing in kitchen. Large coach parties meaning sometimes no tables etc. tables cleaned directly on to floor and chairs. No idea why this is classed as 4 star.
Our stay at Hotel Aminess Younique Orebić was absolutely unforgettable! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The half-board package is truly worth it — both breakfast and dinner were exceptional, with a wide selection of fresh, delicious dishes beautifully prepared every day.
The room was perfect, spacious and spotless, with a balcony directly above the sea offering a breathtaking view of the old town of Korčula. You can admire both the sunrise and sunset from the balcony — it’s pure magic.
What makes this place truly special is the peace and quiet — no noise, just the sound of the waves and the calm sea breeze. It’s the perfect escape for anyone looking to relax and recharge.
The staff were warm, professional, and kind, always ready to help with a smile. The pool area is modern and serene, and the crystal-clear sea is just a few steps away from the hotel.
The location is unbeatable — just across from Korčula, easily reachable by a short boat ride.
And the price is more than justified, especially with breakfast and dinner included — you truly get top quality for what you pay.
We loved every moment of our stay and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended for those who seek comfort, great food, and absolute tranquility by the sea!
The breakfast was top notch and something for everyone. Can´t imagine a better location than the one of The Bellevue. The staff was outstanding. From the first contact with the receptionist to the last talk with the kitchen chef.
We spent a few days at the Bellevue Hotel in Orebić and our experience was really great. The hotel is located in a perfect location - right next to the sea, with a beautiful view and a very peaceful environment. Of particular note is the proximity to the center of Orebić, which can be easily reached on foot, as well as the excellent connection to Korčula, which is only a few minutes away by boat.
The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the sea and lots of natural light. The furniture is modern, and the atmosphere is relaxing - an ideal place for a real vacation.
Breakfast is delicious and varied, and the hotel's terrace is an ideal place for morning coffee with a view of the sea. It can be seen that the staff puts a lot of effort into making the guests satisfied.
I would especially like to praise the reception - the staff is extremely professional, helpful, patient and always smiling, which made our stay even more beautiful.
Highly recommended to everyone who wants a peaceful, pleasant vacation in a clean and well-run hotel. We will definitely be back!
I love Bellevue hotel. It is situated on the beautiful part of Pelješac near the beach. I have been several times and for me it is perfect place for vacations, peaceful, beautiful rooms and views. Service in the hotel is excellent, really. The stuff is really truying to meet ones needs. Food is excellent as well the rooms in the hotel or villas. Really my favorite spot on Pelješac!
Like many reviews the Hotel looks perfect from the outside . Just before arriving I started to read bad reviews about the hotel , I don’t always get concerned about these as it is hard to please everyone .
I really wish I had !
Reception staff were very unpleasant not what you want to see as your first point . We were in the main hotel , on arrival to room looked ok , a few stains or carpet, but overall room was nice . What we didn’t expect was for the room only to be serviced if you requested , our morning coffee was also disappointing to find a half used coffee sachet was all that was there .
After our 3 hour airport transfer we arrived to evening meal around 7 pm . Only 30 minutes after the restaurant started serving meals .
To our disappointment the food was cold , the mash potatoes were powdered mash , vegetables were grey not green . I opted for soup as it would at least be hot , cream or cauliflower was the choice …. No cream just thin stock .
Our second evening we went down for 6.30 opening in the hope good would be hot , it was still cold . I complained to reception desk who took our room number & heard nothing . VERY Disappointed. Don’t recommend this hotel . Rude staff
I would like to agree with many of the recent reviews regarding this hotel. This hotel has potential to be a 5 star hotel but it requires investment and better management.
Good points:- Amazing location, fabulous views (be sure to stay in a balcony room in the main hotel). Easy and very pleasant walk along promenade to Orebic. Nice pool area but limited space. Nice small stone beach (bring beach/swimming shoes) with lovely clear Adriatic water.
Needing attention:- We generally did not find the staff friendly. Frequently long waits at reception. We had one of the best rooms, but the quality of fixtures, fittings and bedding is below par. The bathroom was spacious but poorly designed. Shower over the bath leads to serious floor flooding due to pathetic half shower screen. Water colour was dubious and (free) drinking water not supplied. Cleaning of room was almost non-existent. Dirty glasses and rubbish remained in the room for days. Mugs for tea/coffee are black. You cannot tell if they are clean or dirty. Biggest problem is the restaurant. We sampled the evening buffet on the first night and never ate there in the evening again. The buffet is very big but I struggled to find anything appetising. None of the food was hot but only lukewarm. Breakfast is a similar story. In 7 days there was not one runny yoke in the eggs. The quality of the food in general was really ordinary. Frequently needed to queue for coffee from the machines which frequently needed servicing. Juice was horribly synthetic. We had a lovely breakfast in a restaurant in Orebic one morning. Money well spent. The hotel staff really cannot cope with this number of people. We would be reluctant to stay in an Aminess hotel after this experience. Would happily go back to Orebic.
We visited Aminess Casa Bellevue in Orebić at the end of September, thinking the season was already over. However, the atmosphere and dedication in the hotel felt just as lively and attentive as during peak season.
We had booked a room in Casa through an agency, and the hotel staff were very pleasant and professional. The room was nicely arranged, cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided every day.
The food offer was truly impressive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included a wide variety of dishes, catering to different tastes, which we did not expect so late in the season.
The hotel also features an aperitive bar with a terrace overlooking the sea, where the prices were very reasonable. Just below the hotel there is a well-maintained beach, perfect for the warm September weather, as well as a beautiful seaside promenade. One direction leads to other Aminess hotels, while the other takes you to the center of Orebić within a pleasant 15-minute walk.
All in all, the hotel gave us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the last rays of summer sun and made our vacation truly memorable.
This is a smallish hotel overlooking the sea and Korcula island. We were on the third floor in the hotel and the view is probably the best we've ever had. The water was perfect for snorkeling, the small beaches are all pebbly so everyone wore beach shoes. It's an old building that has been added to and the good thing about this is the sound proofing for all the rooms. The guests went from babies to OAP . There is an easy flat walk along the seafront all the way into Orebic and it goes right past the car and passenger ferry ports. Its 15 minute journey for €3.40 is very good value to Korcula which is definitely worth a visit. All the meals are buffet style and after consulting with other guests the consensus was that it is bland. We like to eat in different restaurants at night on holiday but due to a very impressive thunder storm we ate there one night and was not very impressed. One morning the hotel water supply was lost ( not the hotel fault) but I would hope that a hotel that has been around this long would have handled it better. All the coffee machines and water soon ran out at breakfast and that was it, people were not impressed. No staff were sent on an emergency water bottle run we were just left. I know this is hardly a huge problem but was indicative of the attitude of the staff. They were never rude but they never offered information unless you asked specifically. There is no hotel guide or tv channel. Also the room cleaning routine was erratic. The place was very clean and the beds comfortable. We woke up with new bites every morning but I don't know if there is a correlation. In September there was never a shortage of pool beds or dining tables. I'm not sure the choice of cream velour for the dining room has lasted well, they are starting to look grubby.
I have a real bugbear about hotel rooms not designed for women and this is another culprit. There is nowhere to do your makeup with adequate light or magnification.
This is a nice hotel in a quiet area so if that is what you want then give it a try.
This
Beautiful situation, nice pool area. We found our room to be basic but clean and adequate. Some staff were pleasant and helpful but the place appeared rather disorganised.
Our one major gripe was the quality of the food and the lack of organisation in the dining area, we had to hunt for cutlery and a clean table on numerous occasions. The food lacked flavour, very very bland.
The popular items went quick but the trays were not replenished.
Thankfully the poor dining experience did not spoil our holiday, the coast and islands are breathtaking especially Korcula and Miljet.
Would visit again but not this particular hotel.
The previous reviewees have pretty much said all I wanted too and even used the same descriptions!
We stayed here 7 years ago in the main hotel and had a wonderful stay. The vista from our hotel room was exceptional and with fond memories decided to return.
A superior double suite with sea view was booked and the website images looked fab.
Upon arrival we were located in the 'Casa', not the main hotel.
Interestingly you wont find any images of this building or rooms anywhere on the website and for good reason. The accommodation is basic, old, poorly maintained, dirty and has no lift. The shower over the batch was mouldy, the extractor fan filthy, the bed base material in tatters and the furniture MFI quality. It is nothing like the main hotel or the images portrayed on the website and I have stayed in better Travel Lodges.
The food was ok, but bland and not hot. There was the usual variety of meat, fish and salads. The breakfast coffee situation was disgraceful. If you managed to get a cup, you are then faced with long queues - this needs addressing immediately.
The staff, other than reception, were not very engaging.
Cleaning was a quick towel fold and bed make. No cleaning is actually completed.
I complained to TUI immediately upon arrival. However I was told that due to me booking through a third party, they could not help me and to speak with the hotel directly. Of course I had booked directly with TUI on their webiste and paid TUI. It was not myself that had put any booking through a third party but TUI themselves. Beware!!
To summarise, the scenery and Orebic location are fantastic. But the hotel is only OK and poor in places. Compared to many other 4 star hotels where we have stayed it falls very wide of the mark.
Booked a superior double room with seaview through TUI based on the 1930's style main hotel building shown on their website. Turns out Bellevue Casa is one of several soviet-era prison block type annexes behind the hotel. Room was basic, cleaning non-existent, TV and phone didn't work, only evidence cleaners had visited was the duvet was pulled up. View of sea obliterated by huge trees in front of balcony. Food in hotel was poorly presented, bland and cold. Pool was fine but ridiculous that a 4 star hotel has no snack facilities for the pool area. Hotel is in a prime position, Croatia is stunning, Orebic beautiful, clean and relaxing and Korcula amazing. We will return but never stay in an Aminess hotel again.
Excellent location so giving 1 star . As for the hotel !! Paid for a 4 star hotel but it was nowhere near that . The photos shown on-site looked lovely but reality is we were directed to what can only be described as a 1970s council block behind hotel . The rooms were filthy and the bed was ripped all round . The curtains had holes in and were dirty . The grounds were just dry mud patches . Some staff were friendly but most just rude . Food always cold and repetitive and don’t even look for desert unless you want 1” square bland sponge ! Bar ran out of drinks , restaurant ran out of clean cups and if u asked for some u were told u would have to wait ! Worst hotel experience I have ever had. It’s a run down dump .
The hotel is in a wonderful location, even worth the 3 hour transfer from the airport. The room was clean & comfortable, reception staff were lovely, friendly & helpful. The restaurant was buffet style & a fair bit of choice, however the hot food was barely tepid & often bland. Breakfasts were good, lunches ok with lovely fresh salads but , apart from one or two dishes, the hot food wasn't great. The waiter service was poor - tables weren't cleared & re laid quickly enough, we often had to hunt around for cutlery. I think drinks should be served at the table but this was self service too. There was hardly any waiter service at the bar as well, we ended up queueing for drinks which you don't expect - maybe this was down to staffing problems. Entertainment wise, there was a singer who was very good who played for 2 nights. There was no other evening entertainment which, considering it wasn't out of season, was not great. We booked a trip to Dubrovnik from the hotel which I would highly recommend, our tour guide was great & very informative. We also took a boat trip to the neighbouring island of Korcula which was lovely. All in all, this is a very lovely part of Croatia & we enjoyed our holiday very much.
First I should be clear this review is for the Aminess Casa Bellevue not for the Aminess Younique Bellevue Hotel itself. These blocks of ‘Casa’ rooms are adjacent to, and in the grounds of the hotel, and are what is being marketed by Jet2Holidays, these are not rooms in the hotel itself. Guests have use of the hotel facilities which are generally excellent but the standard of our 'Casa' room was somewhat disappointing. I suspect some of the glowing reviews of rooms on here relate to rooms in the hotel.
To start with the positives - the location was amazing, right on the seafront in a peaceful setting with beautiful crystal-clear water and surrounded by pine trees. The sea view from our room was fabulous and it went a long way towards making up for the disappointment of the room itself. The staff at the hotel reception were extremely friendly and helpful. The bar, restaurant, terrace and pool areas of the hotel were all very well appointed and reasonably well maintained; there were great direct sea views from almost all the common parts. The pebble beach was a minute’s walk from the pool area. There were always sunbeds available around the pool area and the beach was quiet while we were there in mid-September. The short walk into Orebic was lovely and the short ferry trip across to Korcula was wonderful.
Now for the negatives. Our room, described as 4-star, was very small and very cheaply furnished (think flat-pack style chipboard wardrobes and a plastic garden chair). The bathroom was by far the smallest we have ever come across in a hotel (and the corner shower cubicle would have presented a real problem for anyone of a slightly larger size). The door to the room was tricky to lock and unlock with the key (yes, an actual key, I can’t remember the last time I used one of those on holiday rather than a card).
The room was clean on arrival but the standard of servicing during the course of our one week stay went steadily downhill. The towels were replaced for the first couple of days and the bed sheets were changed after two nights. Then nothing. No change of towels, no cleaning of the bathroom, no bed made, no removal of a used cup. We mentioned to reception that our room didn’t appear to be getting serviced and they said they’d check with the housekeeping team. Following that the bins were emptied but nothing else was done. By the time we checked out our bathroom was grubbier than I would allow my own to get at home. We should have complained again but we aren’t that way inclined so just left it. We suspected that the housekeeping team were clueless and over-stretched, there seemed to be very few of them around to service a huge number of rooms. When we spoke to one of the young girls outside our room late one afternoon and asked whether the room had been done that day she seemed unsure about what was expected of her (and no it wasn’t a language issue, she spoke good English). In no way did we feel like we were staying in 4-star accommodation, Jet2 really need to look at the standard and servicing of these rooms again, a 3-star grading would be far more appropriate. I accept that we should have taken up the issues with the room servicing again with the hotel but who needs hassle on holiday.
My overall impression was that the hotel guests were getting a ‘priority’ service over and above that being offered to the Casa guests. The common parts of the hotel were clean. We were disappointed to discover that Casa guests on the half-board package were only able to eat dinner in the buffet restaurant between 8.00pm and 9.30pm (which restricted some of our evening plans). Hotel guests were able to eat from 6.30pm. This meant that by 8.00pm much of the food was cold and had the feel of being what was left after the hotel guests had had their first pick. By 9.00pm on more than one occasion what was left of the desserts looked like the scraps left at the end of a children’s party. The ‘half-board plus’ offering to the Casa guests included two taps with very frothy local lager and one tap each of white or red table wine, the quality of which seemed to vary from day to day but was never very good. There was a wide choice of food but none of it seemed to be of particularly good quality. More ‘works canteen’ than 4-star hotel, with no chef ‘presence’ at all in the dining room. Breakfast was more relaxed with the buffet open to all guests from 7.00am to 10.00am but again seemed to offer variety and quantity over quality. By far the best food we had all week was on an evening out in one of the local ‘Peka’ restaurants on the seafront.
This was our first trip to Croatia and we had a great time. Our niggles with the accommodation were massively outweighed by the overall experience. The area is astoundingly beautiful and it is one of the most tranquil and relaxed locations we have visited. We will definitely return but sadly not to Aminess Casa Bellevue.
