The hotel is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of Kandersteg. It combines a ‘good old days’ atmosphere with modern facilities. A brilliant breakfast, and the swimming pool is available free of charge for a bit of relaxation after a day’s hiking.

Gorgeous views, friendly staff, and clean rooms!
Pros:

Friendly staff, beautiful building, and very close to the cable cars. The complimentary breakfast was a great bonus, typical buffet spread and great coffee. The views were unbelievable and the pool was INCREDIBLE (glass doors so you can see the mountains). The windows opened so the heat wasn’t too much.

Cons:

The room could use a mini fridge and a small fan to help circulate the air during the summer months. The shower head caused water to get all over the bathroom/was tricky to get it perfect so it wouldn’t leak.

Super verblijf gehad en genoten van de bergen!
Pros:

Het lag heel centraal, grote hotelkamer, heerlijk ontbijt, makkelijk (betaald) parkeren tegenover het hotel (€ 18,- voor 2 dagen! Geen geld)

Cons:

Weinig stopcontacten in de kamer om de telefoons op te laden. 1 gevonden in de badkamer 1 boven een verwarming.

Bel emplacement, déjeuner

Cons:

Pas de volet au fenêtre.
Pour le prix: chambre très très simple.
Pas de coffre fort, Pas de frigo, mur lezardé et Pas rafraîchis. On a apprécié l eau pour notre départ, mais on l aurait aussi apprécié dans notre chambre!
Lavabo défectueux et bouché. Juste deux linges. Pour le prix, le parking était en supplément.
On est en Suisse, mais il ne faut pas prendre les touristes pour des vaches à lait....et nous sommes Suisse!

Lovely hotel for a short stay - great location for hiking and shops/restaurants.
Pros:

Location and the staff are excellent. Super friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The rooms are outdated. No air conditioning, no fan, the shampoo and body wash were both empty upon check in.
