Five stars — without hesitation.

This was a somewhat complex stay for us. I am traveling extensively for business in Europe and was trying to balance work commitments with some personal time. My wife, who is navigating serious health challenges, joined the trip so we could spend time together where possible. As it turned out, my schedule kept me away for much of the stay, and she was primarily there with her sisters.

Because the reservation was under my name due to my loyalty status and travel schedule, there were some initial logistical misunderstandings. However, once clarified, the team was exceptional.

They were professional, flexible, accommodating, and — most importantly — genuinely caring. Their focus was clearly on ensuring my wife was comfortable and well looked after, and they handled everything with grace and discretion.

Travel while balancing business and personal realities is not always simple, but this team stepped up in every way. I am deeply appreciative of the care they showed my family.

Leaving and never going back as it’s completely overrated and without the Marriot name nobody would ever stay there.They never informed customers that their internet was going to be down for 2 days and that the hotel does not have proper parking facilities.

We stayed at The Cotton House for 2 nights for a combined business/sightseeing trip. We usually book the big brand names but decided to go for something with a local touch this time, we liked the air of history and elegance and the promise of excellent service. We were not disappointed and would absolutely stay there again.
A quick wrap-up of the things we liked:
The location is very good, you get to major sights fast. By foot faster than by cab.
The architecture and interior of the house is lovely and well maintained (it's not over-restored, but also not shabby at all). We specifically loved the bar/breakfast room with the wooden walls and ceilings and beautiful decor.
Our room (looking into the courtyard) was clean, quiet, and had a very nice fresh feeling about it.
The service both at the reception and bar was very friendly and prompt.
A nice extra: Every room comes with a water bottle (that needs to be returned when you leave, or you can buy it) that can be refilled on every floor, you can take it around with you during your stay, so no need for buying plastic bottles all the time. I think especially during the summer this is very helpful.

Just one thing - the gym is rather small. Just a bike and a crosstrainer, and I think some weights. But you cannot expect a huge gym in such a historic building. Doesn't fit.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay a lot and, as written before, would definitely come back.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay here. 5* all the way. Everything and everywhere was absolutely spotless, comfortable and The Cotton Room was amazing with a balcony overlooking the courtyard with a beautiful view of the city. The team were outstanding. Special shout out to Susana and Reyal who could not do enough for us to make this a very special stay. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel so welcome, Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness made this a trip to remember. The location is right in the centre with a few minutes walk to Plaça de Catalunya, A highly recommended hotel with first class team! The atmosphere was so welcoming from beginning to end

Great stay at the Cotton House. It is a unique well maintained property. A very artsy decor and that is what makes it unique. We had a great stay here which would have been better if the service in the restaurant during dinner was better.

We just spent 7 nights at the Cotton House Hotel and literally everything about this hotel was perfect. It started with the reception we received when we arrived at the hotel and were asked if we would like a cup of coffee. Both our room and our friend’s room were ready when we arrived at 10:30 in the morning. Nice after traveling overnight. When we got to our room, what I nice surprise to find a bottle of Cava, a slice of cake and a nice note for my birthday.

Our room was spotless with a balcony facing the terrace and courtyard below. Nice and quiet with no noise from street traffic. The entire hotel was very well maintained and the decoration for the holidays was excellent.

At drinks on the terrace the first afternoon we were served by Fira. She had a great smile and made you feel at home right away. Each time we ran into her during the week, it was like meeting an old friend. All of the staff in the restaurant were excellent. Each morning we were greeted by an employee with a smile on their face. The food was excellent and since the hotel only has 83 rooms it was very relaxing and the music selection added to to calming atmosphere.

Several times we requested items to be brought to our room and each time they were delivered within 5 minutes.

Every employee greeted you with a smile no matter where you ran into them. Having spent 40 years in Human Resources, hiring employees, I must commend the people who hired employees for the hotel. They couldn’t do enough for you.

This past weekend, the hotel ran a holiday event for those staying at the hotel as well as being open to those not staying there. The staff really worked very hard during these 2 days, but always had a smile on their face and treated everyone as a special guest.

I will certainly recommend The Cotton House Hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona. Great hotel, great location and exceptional staff.

This was our first trip to Barcelona and we are very happy to had our resting spot in a perfect location. Everything is great about this hotel, the staff were incredibly professional, courteous and helpful. The hotel has a great cozy, elegant mood, and we were very surprised how quiet our room was (I advise getting a courtyard side room).
What we really enjoyed was how perfectly located the hotel is from so many things we could walk to (we averaged 20000 steps a day!) but to gothic area, la Rambla, and shopping on Garcia, finding little hidden cafes, yummy tapas, having a great location that became a great second home, it was hard for us to leave.
Just know you are in a busy area, so if looking for a peace and quiet spot, this won’t be it. But you’re in Barcelona for the city life, right :-)

We spent two nights at the Cotton House at the beginning of our Spain trip. We had an excellent experience with this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. Special shoutout to Jose who greeted us every time we came in and out and made it such a great personal experience.
The room was perfectly laid out and really loved the double sinks in the bathroom. Bed was super comfy!
The location was perfect for getting around the city which was all walkable. I highly recommend.

Always lovely

Cotton House is an exceptional hotel in a convenient address-within walking distance of many must see attractions. This hotel is an oasis of calm and comfort offering unique amenities such as a dining patio and a library. Everyone was very warm and friendly. Reyes expertly handled our bags and made sure we were safely in our taxi on our journey home. He was very kind.

The bar/restaurant was phenomenal-we had dinner and breakfasts there-all were excellent. Cristopher offered get us custom cocktails tailored to our preferences.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Cotton House!

Our stay here, from start to finish, was nothing short of amazing because of the amazing staff. I wanted to shout out to Cristopher, who was just beyond accommodating and friendly to our small group during our time in Barcelona. Every hotel should be so lucky to have a Cristopher!

Amazing experience! The service was impeccable and they truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Reyes at the front was a gem and made sure logistically we made it to the airport on time with no hassles.
