Hotel Columbia

We were so pleased with the Hotel Columbia. The location could not be better, with all of Telluride walkable from the hotel, the main drag two short blocks away, and the wonderful, free gondola just across the street, as is the river path. We rode the gondola up the mountain at different times of day and night, and the views were stunning, the ride fun. Go just before sunset for colorful views of the Telluride valley, and at night for fantastic stargazing.

Our room was large and comfortable, and the balcony with two chairs made for a great setting in the morning and evening. The European-style towel warmer in the large, modern bathroom was a welcome touch, since we had wet bathing suits after visiting thermal pools in Ouray and Durango. The shower was heavenly thanks to its steam feature. It took a minute to figure out but we loved it.

Housekeeping was solid and efficient, and room furnishings were modern and high-quality. The staff was friendly and helpful, and getting our car (valet parking) was usually fast and easy.

Love this property so much!! I am always happy to stay here and I just love the team that works there. It truly feels like a home from home.

Just spent the weekend in Telluride, and was very happy with the Hotel Columbia experience. The room was larger than I had expected, and the location was central to everything we wanted to experience. The bonus was a small balcony that helped us perfectly celebrate our engagement. Very happy with our hotel selection.

The staff was so friendly, and they made our anniversary so special. The extra treats in our room were perfect. They hotel and location were amazing and clean. I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful and convenient. High service. Plan on valet parking. Gondola is in back yard. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Fantastic ski lockers.

This property is not a luxury property at all. And definitely did not feel like a B&B! Our initial room had buckled carpet, blood stains on the bedding, only one bedside area with a lamp that didn’t work and smelled like heavy Mr.Clean. When we asked to be moved, our second room didn’t smell but both rooms had a Murphy bed which was difficult to get in and out of, and worm, flat pillows.

Breakfast was not typical of a B&B but more like a Best Western.

For the money we spent, we were terribly disappointed in this experience.

Such a cute boutique hotel in an amazing location right at the base of the gondola. I'd love to come back for winter! Staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel Columbia was a beautiful and historic hotel right at the entrance to the gondola. The rooms were immaculate. All of the staff were so accommodating I wish I remembered all of their names. The gentleman who checked us in, Nelson, gave great local recommendations and was always willing to give directions or just chat. Considering there was no restaurant open at the time we visited; they had a lovely breakfast offering. The burritos were local and AWESOME! Food was fresh and replenished. Definitely worth the price!

Our stay was amazing as always. We've stayed at the Hotel Columbia a few times, it keeps us coming back. Situated in the middle of everything, no car needed. Edward and his staff takes care of everything we ever need while visiting. Be it just a warm good morning smile or recommendations to plan your day, or dinner reservations. Gondola right at the front door which takes you to Mountain Village, where you can ski, hike, shop, eat, or catch some evening entertainment. We absolutely love Telluride and will be back again. Edward and staff thank you for having us again.

Customer service level was outstanding! We can't wait to come back and stay longer so we can explore all the area has to offer.

There are no words to describe the comfort and its location of this hotel. We arrived late around 1245 AM and they still gave us a secure access to the hotel without any issues. They welcome us the following morning, which was a nice gesture even when we're very tired from a flight delay and a long drive. The room was perfect! The heated bathroom floor was something we've never experienced as well as the view of the Chicago Peak and the Trico Peak from the balcony. The Telluride Station is a minute walk for a free gondola ride and if want to eat out, there are lots of options and they are. We recommend Smuggler Union Restaurant & Brewery, Baked in Telluride and The Coffee Cowboy. Can't wait to come back!

walk across the street and you are at the free gondola ride to mt village. The room was spectacular and the bed was amazing. I would definately stay here again.

Very comfortable and right at the foot of the gondola. Not to worry the gondola is quiet, can’t hear it in the room.
The continental breakfast was average and they could find a better coffee brand.
Overall I would absolutely recommend , the staff was lovely too !

Great location and breakfast. The room upstairs was warm even with a working conditioner.
