Very very disappointing. Absolutely lovely main building when you first walk in but that’s about as good as it gets. The food was okay but there was basically no variety. Chicken, rice, vegetables and pasta all week. There was one alcoholic drink as a part of the all inclusive package if you want anything else you have to pay. And the drink its self, is a watered down beer that didn’t taste very nice. There was flies everywhere too, spent more time swatting them with a flip flop than I did sunbathing, they don’t seem to have done anything about it got bothered by flies all week. During the whole week I did not witness the pool area get cleaned not even a sweep, found broken glass next to sun beds and lots of tissues, cups and other items at the bottom of the pool. Very disappointing.
This place is not for the British, we expect far more when we book All Inclusive. Let me start with the basics that we expect!
FOOD - There is no toaster at breakfast! There is only one selection of bread which fair enough is nice and fresh but no brown bread or even Gluten-free bread, I don't have any allergies myself but for those who do??
Breakfast is the same every day, wasn't too fussed about there not being any sausages or bacon as we are in a Muslim country but at least vary the selection!
All food is cold! Lunchtime was hit and miss some days absolutely awful food and some days some ok food, nothing amazing or beautiful or other words we would use to describe a decent meal. Again no allergen label's infact no labels to even let us know what we are actually eating, I gave myself abit of what I thought was a beef dish (no one around to ask) turned out to be Liver!
Again all food cold.
Dinner was again hit and miss, no labelling of food and again no allergen awareness and also again cold! The salad bar and desert station were kept cool with a single flimsy fan, what even is that?!
They do serve takeaways at the outside bar which consisted of donner and chips, pizza and chips, burger and chips and such like. If they can serve up chips where U have to pay for them then why can't they be available at lunch and dinner?! I feel like we had the wool pulled over our eyes on that one! we should not have to pay for food on an All Inc holiday because the food is just so awful in the buffet!
Drinks - no selection of spirits available whatsoever, unless we were willing to pay €8 for Vodka, Gin or Whisky! U expect something like this to happen being in a Muslim country but having said that we have been to Tunisia and the selection of alcoholic drinks was above standard, however that was booked with TUI not THOMAS COOK. There is no Diet Coke at the outside bar but if u go to the takeaway bar u can buy them for €2! Again, how is this All Inc?!
All that is included in the drinks selection is very flat very warm Local beer, very vinegary white and red! Orange juice that is awful! And soft drinks are sprite and Regular coke, makes no sense to me why we would have to buy diet coke!
ROOMS - house keeping is very poor, they don't clean just change towels and empty bins and have a quick whip round with something that I can only assume is meant to be a mop!
Fresh bottled water is available, the house keeping staff don't always leave u any however u can go down to reception to ask for more , if U feel like doing that when you have just got back to your room and are too tired from a day in the sun!
The rooms are very basic, very under par compared to what you'd expect. I am far from what u would call a snob but I do like my accommodation to be clean and fresh.
The shower is quite powerful however on 2 separate days there was no hot water. I left it and went back to turn it on half an hour later and it did come out but it was a dirty dingey brown colour! I let it run some more and it eventually came out as something vaguely resembling water! I was very reluctant to step under the shower for fear of possibly contacting Legionnaires disease, but that being said I needed a shower! I am still alive so that's a plus!
I have uploaded 2 photos of this water both taken on separate days to give people an idea of what I mean and can judge for themselves! My daughter had a piece of jewellery go missing, the room was searched high and low and it was never found! make of that what u will! My advice would be to not leave things laying around in the safety of your own room! The very last day we were due to leave really was the cherry on the cake! The hotel had said we could keep one room on free of charge, all the others we would have to leave by 12 lunchtime or pay €50 per room!. We gave this free late check out to our elderly parents, all the others we left as requested. As we weren't being picked up till 19.40 that evening we decided to catch some more rays and we would all share our parents room for showers/freshen up etc. When my daughter went to shower she had realised that she had stupidly left her trainers in her room so requested the key card to go back to collect them, imagine her surprise when she found they were not there! She checked her case twice over checked high and low and nothing, we then came to the conclusion they had been stolen! Where else could they be? She came away with one pair of trainers, she had hardly lost them! We deduced that the cleaner, thinking we had left for good & would not be back had taken them! No other explanation. We complained and complained and nothing was offered, no explanation nothing, simply said she shouldn't have left them in the room! Well yes I would tend to agree but does that warrant the cleaner to take them and not hand them in?! No it does not! We were told we could call the police but they would take 2 days to come, how very convenient when they knew we were due to leave that day! Needless to say my daughter went home minus 1 pair of £160 trainers, very unhappy at the lack of empathy!
I feel I have to mention This Hotel was provided via Hotel beds.com via the Thomas Cook website. It has no star rating on the Thomas Cook website, even Thomas Cook are refusing to give it an official star rating, which we didn't realise at the time of booking. At the end of the day the sun was shining and had a decent week weather wise and came back a stone lighter! If you're looking to book a Holiday in Turkey then go for it just don't do what we did and book this hotel, there has to be something much more nicer out there, this hotel didn't have very many British people staying either. In hindsight we wish we had known all this beforehand!
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
I think it was good for what we paid £600 for 2 all inclusive. Couldn't get caravan in England for that . Yes food was all turkish but that's what I like so wasn't a problem . Now for the down sides
Pool side torlet needs cleaning and fixing up
Pool bar man needs to learn how to smile
The private beach doesn't exists its some loungers on grass about 200 yards away
There is no hotel beach bar . There is a small cafe on beach but does not take cash.
But has I said for what we paid I dobt think you can complain for 8 nites . Lovely lady at reception very friendly
If your looking forward to lovely clean and nice food at this hotel walk away now
Food is dreadful
Rooms are dirty
Hot water doesn’t always work
Free bar is literally lemonade Pepsi 1 beer and water
Coffee is not always available
So if ur a picky eater you’re finished
You’ll come 14 stone and leave 8 stone
Tv doesn’t work
Staff are so not friendly
Go to the free bar by the pool you’ll meet
Mona Lisa the worlds most unhappy man
No entertainment at night
So would never recommend to anyone
Please do not come here, the food is not edible it’s always cold, no signage to say what it is.The hotel is filthy.A mouse was seen in the restaurant last night.SAVE YOUR MONEY.rooms are that basic no kettles, paper cups for tea coffee no proper cups, plastic cups for juice that are so flimsy the just squash in yr hand.I have never been on holiday and longed to go home after 3 days, even sheet on bed all torn.
Just returned from here yesterday ive been to Turkey loads of times and this is the worst hotel ive ever stayed in paid ove 1600 for a week here with a friend and the room was so dirty I complained and the moved us to a villa which was bigger and still dirty I had to go a look for a cleaner to clean it which took cleaner 5mins and that was the only time it was cleaned the food was rank and repetitive and always cold the bar only had either tubroug or one white wine and raki if u wanted spirits u had to go to another bar and pay upto 6euro a measure it was the worst week ive had in turkey ever staff are rude never wud I ever go to belkon hotel again pure rank dirty hotel
Telefone , Wlan Funktionieren nicht. Abgekommene Zimmer und Toiletten. Man Fühlt sich irgendwo in nirgendwo eines Afrikanischen Dorfes… Und ausserdem keine Handtücher im Zimmer!
They give us a room not clean
Bad wifi
It’s a lovely big hotel. Bit outdated and in the middle of nowhere but it did the job. Amazingly we had the view of LAND OF LEGEND! This was 5 mins drive from the hotel too. We loved having 5 swimming pools to enjoy, 2 for little ones and 3 big ones for all ages and swimmers. The rooms were small but enough for your luggage’s and a desk. All standard rooms have space for 3 people, be it 1 double and single or 3 singles. We had a problem with a bed because we needed an extra one for a 4th person, they gave a mattress-then had to take this up with the holiday bookers. My room AC wasn’t working but they’d soon sent someone to fix it. The Communal and dining had no AC or fans, being 40degrees made it difficult to sit and eat. Carry your own fans. It got too hot all around the hotel all the time so we spent our indoor times in our rooms-when not swimming. It was lovely sitting by the pool to eat but there were too many flies and bees.
They have a shuttle bus-that takes you to their designated beach area-we didn’t get much time to enjoy that.
Closest shopping area is Kadriye, 5 min drive and a single taxi journey is £10. £20 both ways and they wait for you for however long you need them-or send a separate taxi for pick up. Also, this where you’d find agents for activities. Here’s a number, lovely man and trustworthy. +90 532 287 88 76, Saban. Very nice place. Belek town centre, which was a very much bigger shopping area than Kadriye, was just a little bit further away, about £25 taxi fare both ways.
Antalya city was about 30/40 mins drive. To take a taxi there is about £150 so best to put it together with your day tour of the city. We paid £200 for a minibus for 14 people, visit the city and some shopping. The old city/clock tower is where the Turkish shops are, the little stall type ones. The mall was decent.
Hotel staff were lovely and responsive. They even print your flight boarding passes for free. Rooms cleaned nearly everyday. All things were safe in the room. Keep yourself busy and you’ll have a great time-we did just that! Hope it helps.
We were given this hotel on the spur of the moment as everytime we tried to book a holiday the price went up or there was something wrong with the booking so teletext holidays suddenly threw this hotel at us. As I had a severely disabled 16 year old neice who's first holiday this was I was scared especially after reading the reviews.
However I was pleasantly surprised. I did try to go with a positive attitude but was still skeptical. We were told we would have the club room which apparently is an upgrade However upon arrival they deiced to change us straight away to normal rooms. At first I was not happy with this as club rooms are more spacious with a separate seating area. But after inspecting them I realised it was the best decision they made for us. They gave us rooms next to each other ( we were a family of six) and they were not in a secluded place surrounded by trees. This would have made it awful for us because wen would be surrounded by heat and mosquitoes which would be dangerous for my neice.
Overall thd experience was amazing. Yes the hotel is outdated. Needs an upgrade. The toilets are old with stains and so are the shower heads old. The water has sand coming from it I am assuming its because we are very close to the beach. There are bits broken from the furniture and there is no safe and limited space in the wardrobes. The food is okay with only a few main dishes and few starters and salads. No baklava and only 5 dessert options. For breakfast there is only 2 types of bread and no toaster which I was shocked about. Only 5 dishes for breakfast and salad. Two types of serial. Like I said limited food. No ice cream or constant food like normal all inclusive restaurant. No chips or burgers for children like other hotels. Just cake at 4pm which everyone rushes for and it runs out. Flies constantly everywhere and wasps but this could be because or the 50 degrees weather. However they try to change the variety of food everyday. Never is it the same. Which is lovely and the restaurant staff and manager always try thier best to accommodate to everyone's needs and ideas.
Apart from this the staff make up for all this negative. They are absolutely wonderful. They supported me and my family throughout. I was absolutely shocked at how they keep everything clean or try to. I have stayed in 5 star hotels and they do not clean rooms like they have here. Everyday I would get clean bedding and towels in my room and my floor cleaned. The cleaner was a lovely lady and man.
The swimming area was constantly being cleaned my air conditioning always worked that it was so cold at times I had to turn it off. It was 50 degrees outside. There are 3 pools and plenty of space no rush for lounges. The beach is nice but not inclusive like other inclusive hotels no food there nothing you have to buy food.
The staff Hassan Sulaiman and Furqaan looked after us well. Everytime we had an issue it was sorted quickly. On the last day they let us stay until 3.30pm. Considering checkout is 12. We needed the room to change my neice as she is 16 and needs constant changing. Also it was comfortable for her on the bed. They were lovely about this. No other hotel has allowed us to stay longer. Other 5/4 star hotels charged us for Internet in our rooms. This hotel didn't and it is a plus. The Internet works well and has good connection. The lobby needs more air cons and so does the restaurant.
I had hammaam in the hotel and it was amazing. The staff were limited with English but understood me well when I said I required Privacy. They were amazing. And not pricey at all.
Overall our experience was amazing. We really enjoyed ourselves. Fresh water bottles in the heat. Yes this hotel caters for predominantly Turkish residents we were the only British there shower they teated us very well too. All it needs is modernisation and more food varieties.
De passage dans le coin nous avons séjourné une nuit. Il n’y a pas de couverture pour dormir
We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had several negative experiences that impacted our overall stay:
• Inconsistent Pricing & Unprofessional Behaviour: On our first visit to the dining area, one price was given for food. The next time, a different staff member (claiming to be the manager and father of the first) demanded a higher price, saying “my word is the final word.” This was unprofessional and uncomfortable.
• Rude Staff with Poor English: Many dining staff members were openly rude and spoke very limited English, which made basic communication difficult and added stress during mealtimes.
• Room Key Issues: Our room key did not work properly. We had to return to the reception five times, and the older man at reception (who also claimed to be the manager) spoke in a very rude tone, insisting his staff was right. We ended up waiting 30 minutes for the issue to be resolved.
• Ignored Early Check-In Request: We had submitted an early check-in request via the app a day before our arrival, but received no response and no support when we asked in person.
• Positive Note – Pool Facilities: The pools were excellent and well-maintained, which was a highlight for the kids. However, this alone doesn’t make up for the overall poor hospitality.
Unfortunately, due to the unreliable service, lack of professionalism, and poor staff attitude, we would not recommend this hotel to families or international visitors who expect respectful and consistent service.
We booked a last minute holiday the day before we flew and took a chance on it being okay. First off the staff were lovely, especially Jimmy the manager and Mike the cafe bar guy. Seen reviews that said staff were surly and ignorant? Not in our case but we made the effort to speak to people and smile so you get what you put in. 😁
The hotel itself is very dated and gardens overgrown but the pool area is cleaned every night and our kids loved it. Not cold at all and no trouble getting a lounger. The loud music starts about 10am and goes on till 11pm. We didn’t mind so much but it was all aimed at the predominantly Turkish, Azerbaijani, Belarusian and Kurdistan guests, we were the only English people there. The only bar was at the end of the pool and unless you knew it was there would easily miss it. It was very dark and overgrown and the selection was very limited. However, there was no limit on how many drinks you could get which was good as the small plastic cups didn’t hold much. Okay if you had a beer as these were in a proper glass.
The area round the reception desk was comfortable and there’s free WiFi throughout although it didn’t quite reach our room in the villas. There were areas in darkness which looked unfinished but looking at the website these used to be bright and had other shops and things here. Not sure what’s happened. The first floor has two doors which have the names of 2 bars on them but you can’t go in and they both look like building sites? Again not what the website suggests.
So, that’s the positives. I’m not a complainer but you need to be aware that the food available is very bland and not what the website would have you believe. There was a small salad, cold meats and cheeses selection every morning for breakfast. A small selection of cereal, some sort of weird sausage thing and an egg dish and that was it. No toast, no bacon or beans or anything you’d recognise as an English person. The coffee from the machine was the best part in my opinion. Lunch and dinner were much the same but you’d have a pasta option and a sauce, no meat in it, and on the evenings there’s an outside grill that did chicken or fish. I don’t have a lot of fried food but I’d have expected chips at least. There was watermelon and cake available which other guests seemed to love as you’d see them piling plates high with the stuff! We used the cafe bar a lot in the evening as they did lovely freshly prepared chicken kebab, pizza, hotdogs and chips. We didn’t try the meatballs or burgers but our food was lovely. You have to pay for it here though but it’s not expensive. Mike was great and he comes to find you when your food is ready, we didn’t expect that and it was a nice touch.
Our room was awful I can’t lie. The toilet wobbled and had a smell of drains every day. It stank. The tiles in the bathroom were dark brown, the one small window didn’t close properly and no daylight came in and the single light fixture had dirt and dead flies in it. The shower holder was broken and there were no hooks to put towels on. Very dark. The main room had two sofa beds which the kids used. They were comfy. Our ‘double’ was two singles pushed together and you could feel every spring in the mattress. Not comfy at all. The air con was the only good thing about the room. The windows were dark with overgrown shrubs and dark brown curtain which we had to keep closed. Some of the plugs didn’t work and the electrics go off when you remove your room key so you can’t charge your phone or anything when you’re not in the room. Housekeeping came every day to change the towels but came early so if you were still in the room and asked for 5 minutes they don’t come back till the next day. I’d suggest just taking the fresh towels in this case. There’s a small fridge in the room which had seen better days but it kept our water and aftersun cold. The wardrobe smelt musty so we kept all our clothes in the suitcases.
Would I come back? Yes to Turkey, no to the Belkon Hotel I’m afraid.
First off, please be advised that this was a last minute holiday out of school holiday time for a family of 4. We were here for 5 nights only at a total cost of £1600 for 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 & 14.
Facilities - pool area is great. Nice big pool, not freezing and there's a few small water slides away from the main pool area. There's a kids club (not that we needed that), however, never saw it being open. Easy enough to get a lounger although I dare say this will be different in school holiday time.
Refreshments - soft drinks and draught beer (Tuborg) and they don't limit you to a drink per person for each order. However, whether your are queuing or not, 11pm on the dot this ends and you have to pay. The cafe and bar section offers more selection of drinks, however, you have to pay for everything in this area but the prices are pretty decent.
The AI bar, there's only one so the queues are long!!!
The food for all inclusive is diabolical to be honest. It's not an exaggeration, it's worse than prison food and not a lot of choice. Don't be expecting any sort of ice cream on tap for the kids or chips (for you fussy lot) - it just ain't happening!!!
The food in the cafe and bar part (which you have to pay for) is really nice though but I don't think I can have chicken kebab every night 😂😂
Staff - seen reviews that the staff are ignorant. This is simply not the case, every member of staff have been really friendly with us.
Room - it's a bed for the night 😂 They're just ok but very dated but we quite like that. Cleaning isn't the best if I'm being over critical.
Entertainment - again, it depends on what you want. There's a bit of a disconnect on an evening with Turkish dancers and Turkish music.
Overall - nah, we wouldn't come back but we came for a relaxing break and that what we got and it's what you make of it really. I'd advise going self catering if you've booked or looking to book here.
Remember, there's a tipping culture in Turkey and that includes taxi's!!! The hotel bellboy (they call him that btw) takes your cases before you've even realised! 😂
Food and receptionist are good, but I'm not satisfied for cleaning of rooms & pools.
Terrible, poor breakfast, dirty rooms with insects and bugs,
Not advice for family
Pool water very dirty
Staff rude
It was okay for the price paid
We arrived at just after 9pm all inclusive restaurant was closed so told to got to bar where we could pay.for food
All inclusive only has beer wine and soft drinks, second day they ran out of wine, so had to pay at the bar which is part of the hotel and same make of wine.
There two ladies toilets in reception one was out of order all the week we where there.
Breakfast is appalling no toast, fruit or fruit juice.
When the weekend came they put extra selection of food on has they had Turkish and Russian people there , however they are so rude fill there plates and leave most of it.
Most time there where no plates and dishes.
And food was not replenished
quickly enough.
Our room was ok towels changed daily but only got hot water of a morning.and low with pressure.
We enquired about safe to be told they didn’t work.
The nearest town is belek which is a taxi drive the hotel is in a golfing area
and no nearby restaurant/bars.
There is a free shuttle to the beach however the restaurant only serve soft drinks.
Other all inclusive hotels on the beach have there own personalised bar to obtain food /drink.
There was no life guard around the pool even though they have 2 water slides, a lot of people reserved beds and never sat or came too them.
There where glass glasses used around the pool to which I think is dangerous when you have people walking around and children running.there where a few broken while we where there.
This hotel is very tired not a four star has advertised and definitely does not cater for English people, has most of the stall do not understand English.
Don’t bother visiting.
