The Dilworth Inn

This is located in historic downtown and only has street parking. Generally you can park close to the front door but may need to park down the street during some times.
There is a square parking lot across the intersection too.
Per the instructions, we called ahead to let them know we were coming. Unfortunately, we missed our turn so was 15 minutes later than we told them.
When we arrived, there was no one at the desk, which is customary, but a sign that instructed to go to the restaurant next door to get a person to check you in. So no problem there.
All the areas were clean with seating areas in the lobby section.
The elevator is small but quiet and our room was very close to it. The room is not large but it had two full beds and small desk nook. The bathroom was a good size but a small sink and a walk in shower. Complimentary toiletries (bodywash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion) were on the sink. Towels provided but they were older and scratchy but did what they were intended for.
The floors were carpeted in the bed area.
The desk was small and there was a small refrigerator and a few wrapped plastic cups. There was a ceiling fan with a light.
The mattresses on the beds were softer than we are used to but comfortable.
There were no tissues in the room and no closet or place to hang clothes. A few hooks on the small wall opposite the desk would be nice.
The AC made a loud clang in our room when it came on but it didn't disturb our sleep. The place was quiet the night we were there.
We found ourselves cold then hot with the comforter on the bed but we didn't use the fan and might should have.
This inn is very convenient to walk around the historic downtown points of interest and shops.

I booked the hotel and notified them that I was handicap traveling alone. The room they put me in was up stairs and there was no one at the front desk to assist me when I needed to check out. I was stuck on the stairs with my walker and two bags. No one answered the phone and no one was there. I don't understand why they put me in a room where you have to climb stairs. I was very disappointed in my stay.

Great hotel. Will stay there again. Comfortable and very clean room. Would suggest it for anyone planning a stay in Gonzalez. Outstanding location.

Nice little place-only 14 rooms. Clean, fridge, A/C, parking on downtown streets-don't pack heavy! Comfortable beds. Coffee corner in hallway but places to eat within walking distance. Remember to call # on front desk to get key-no one sits at front desk. Waling distance to many major historical items in town.

Love the location and the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Plan to stay there again.

We always enjoy seeing Astrit & the wonderful people next door at the Italian restaurant! Everyone is always very helpful & accommodating!

Clean and comfortable. An option for breakfast would be nice but there’s plenty of other options for that.

This hotel was very cute and the service was excellent. We were worried at first because the check in instructions mention they don’t have a 24/7 lobby and our flight wasn’t getting in until after midnight, but that didn’t end up being a problem at all. They own the Italian restaurant next door and I assume live onsite because they were super responsive and the service was quick and efficient. We loved being “downtown” because there are restaurants and shops on the same street as the hotel. Parking was free and easy to find right out front. The place was clean and we felt the rooms were a decent size and had a big bathroom. There were fridges in the rooms as well as a small kitchenette with free coffee, filtered water, silverware, etc. right outside the rooms. If we ever have to travel here again, this is definitely where we will stay!

Wonderful place to stay. Went for a friends birthday and then went to Ottine Springs. Wonderful place. Clean and friendly staff

Three staff to check me in twice. No one ever smiled. No welcome to the property. Some stole the hair dryer from room. Window was seven feet off the floor. Tv was on wall 90 degrees left of bed. No lighting for reading in bed or chair. Thermostat did not control room. Set to 73; room was 69. Door not sealed to hallway. Water way way too hot; scalding. Room was not arranged optimally for tv location. Bed was terrible. Sheets low quality. Very surprised property was not better and people were not friendly. I loved Gonzales, but can’t even stay in this place again.

Clean and comfortable

We loved the secluded room. Very nice and clean. The staff was wonderful and very obliging. Will definitely consider staying here again. We don’t stay at hotels with continental breakfasts anymore. They have become very disappointing. The coffee machine is in the hallway and extra blankets and pillows available. Very nice.

Great stay as always. We stay here annually. Familiar faces, great food and shopping literally seconds away!

Very old school Hotel, in a very quiet location with a really nice Italian restaurant attached to the property. The sheets were the most comfortable sheets I've ever slept in. It is a great little hotel and I hope you understand that the rooms are going to be smaller than the big motels/hotels. The shower was also fantastic and it had great water pressure. I would happily stay here again the next time I'm in town on business.
