This was extremely expensive, considering the lack of service and low quality of bedding and toiletries.
Pros:

Great location with ocean front private deck. Communal kitchen, which is essential as there are no evening restaurants except on weekends.

Cons:

There was no one in attendance except by text. There was no cleaning staff to service the rooms or remove the garbage.

Very poor choice of accommodation for the price we paid.

Firstly.. I slipped in the bathtub while having a shower and fell against the toilet hitting my head. Lots of blood.. went to the clinic and had my head wound dressed. As I pointed out to the care taker there were no handrails on the tub walls and no slip proof mat supplied to stand on. The stairs leading up stairs to where we were staying were very narrow. For the rate we were paying per night .. over $300/night .. it was a very poor choice.
It looked like the entire place was being under renovation..

Midcentury mit grandiosem Blick aufs Meer
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt 20 Schritte vom Fährhafen entfernt, mit direktem Parkplatz davor, Zimmer und Einrichtung sind noch aus dem Midcentury, was durchaus Charme hat. Und dann der grandiose Ausblick aufs Meer und die umliegenden Inseln. Vorausgesetzt man hat Seeseite gebucht. Für uns war das ein guter Ort zum entspannen und runterkommen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und der Check in war unkompliziert. Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher gibt es auf dem Zimmer. Und es gibt eine Gemeinschaftsküche für die Gäste, denn Restaurants wird man bis auf eine verlorene Burgerbude und das kleine charmante Cafe am Hafen, dass ein wunderbares Frühstück und Lunch anbietet, nicht finden.

Cons:

Der Abfluss riecht, aber wir haben uns Abhilfe geschaffen.

Pros:

A wonderful little spot in the centre of town, walkable from the ferry. We enjoyed the relaxed trusting feel of owners, staff and other guests. A nice communal kitchen and laundry facilities were excellent. Everything is very well cared for. You feel immersed in the community with quirky pieces of history and collectibles around the hotel, while still having your own private experience.
