Nothing except the location.
Dirty rooms and bed linen. The hotel smells of the adjacent curry takeaway and is very strong smelling in the bedrooms. The pictures on Booking.com do reflect the current condition or facilities.
Good location for work, some on site parking plus other public parking close by.
Central to the town, so whilst the hotel restaurant was closed, it wasn't far to walk to fine others.
Staff were friendly & welcoming.
Shower curtain was covered in mould, as was the shampoo dispenser.
My sheets were stained and long black hair found in the bed - Honestly, it looks like room 14 hasn't been cleaned deeply for a while and the sheets should have been replaced.
I have staff who have stayed in the same room a few weeks before, so this isn't a one off issue!
I didn't talk to the evening manager/bar staff as she was rushed off her feet, but friendly enough - In the morning I was to tired & rushing myself to argue the toss with the gent on reception.

No sockets near the bed, mattress has seen a bit of action in its day could do with replacement no hot water in shower even after running for 10 min
The new owners are renovating & giving the hotel a new look.
The staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. I would like to mention Mathew in particular who was very welcoming & informative in his recomendations about Dunbar.
The hotel location is excellent for travellers as it is a few minutes walk from the train station.
I enjoyed having a walk along Belhaven beach. Every single person I met was kind & approachable during my 3 day stay.
The weather was perfect - I would recommend going for a visit.

Badly in need of a refresh. Usual breakfast room was temporarily unavailable. Breakfast was very average & a long wait to be served.

The room was cramped and the dank smell of damp hung darkly throughout our stay.
The floorboards creaked and the noise transference from the adjacent rooms masked not the groaning bowls of the occupants.
The mastic in the bathroom was mouldy and the sink was cracked.
The furniture was tired and the faux leather on the bed and chair were trying to hold onto the last flaking patches of brown leatherette but (like an old man’s dandruff contrasting with a black jacket as it settles on the shoulders) it had lain, like a dusting of snow, on the carpet.
We paid £290 for two nights. It is not easy to calculate how much I’d require to be paid to return, but it would be more than was charged.
Looks nice outside and a view of the sea.
Bed was hard, pillows flat, zero hot water in the morning and no staff around.
Quality shampoo, conditioner, hand wash etc and fluffy towels....
The staff were very helpful with our queries...
