Friendly and welcoming staff. Room and dining area both immaculate. Breakfast had a great selection. Great value for money. Only one small issue was the room was a little noisy. Would benefit from soundproofing as you can clearly hear floorboards creaking and people walking past the room at night. Not a massive issue though and we'd definitely stay again.
Staff were amazing. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was large and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again. If I was being picky I think perhaps a better beer ( not Larger) selection might be nice. But aside from that well done, great stay.
Thanks
Staff were lovely, bed comfy, enjoyed our stay
The room was. Very coean and tidy, very comfy bed and very quiet, the staff were amazing good service, the car park was absolutely fine a lot of spaces to park,, my issues was cold water keeps comes and go and also a fire alarms goes off for about 10 or 12 times and that upsets me a lot waking me up
Very good
Two of the employees were really nice & helpful; took time to chat (when it wasn't busy) with me & I felt valued from both of them. Unfortunately I couldn't give them tips through card (I had no cash on me) so I bought them as well as the housekeeper and Hotel manager a drink each.
The room was quite big for the price, & the bathroom layout was good. Adequate parking from what I could see. And the meal of Fish and Chips I had on the evening was lush! I was also permitted to stay in the restaurant after checking out; I appreciate that.
Unfortunately, I did have a few issues during my stay. Their website - or amenities listed on this website/app - has errors in what they offer as a hotel. There is no room service or lunch menu and I think some other amenities were missing from the room. As someone with OCD, I think things could have been much better.
Within earshot of a customer (me) one of their members of staff was suggested that the reason they could be ill was because they might have been in contact with someone who has Covid. This came from the Hotel manager's mouth; unprofessional conduct on multiple accounts.
Things they can improve upon in my opinion:
Make sure the information provided on their website and this one is correct.
Better bedding.
Make screen casting accessible.
Sell Coke that doesn't operate in occupied territory.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and clean and decorated very nicely.
Lots of free car parking and easy access to the M5. The exit from the car park is a little dicey though. The hotel have been updated since my last stay a few years ago and the prices reflect it. Unfortunately it seems that the soundproofing wasn’t included in the upgrade work and there was a lot of external corridor noise inside the room including a noisy connecting door that obviously hadn’t been dampened to prevent it banging.
The internet was intermittent and kept dropping out. The room was superficially clean but I noticed that there were soap marks on the back of the bathroom door. The air con although effective was on a timer and kept switching off. A pity as overall the room decor was modern and appealing.
We were met by very friendly staff . The room was just right for what we needed. Tea/ coffee facilities which are important to me . It is dog friendly.
I would definitely recommend it.
I wish they had a dog bed on request but that is all really .
Breakfast was lovely a very good choice ..
Overall very happy with all aspects - would stay again.
I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it
Nice place!
Just needed a night away after a concert and it was perfect!
Overall good stay, staff very friendly, food nice when it finally arrived, think the chef was under pressure as a few people in the restaurant, mine came then the wifes meal came 10 minutes later
Clean and comfortable stay but the buffet breakfast was not good at all. Came down at 8.30am and obviously got the dregs which sloppy and unappealing.
Truly dog friendly hotel
Such a clean and modern hotel. We were incredibly impressed and would definitely stay there again.
A really good basic hotel 20 minutes from Bristol centre. From the outside it's clearly an old hotel which has had a remodel but the room was warm, clean and modern. Lost a point because the sofa bed (we stayed in a room with our child) was really uncomfortable and the rainfall shower dropped on you when having a shower with the handheld. Not massive issues but it's still over £100 a night so I'd expect the little things like that to be better.
Staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and restaurant area had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely use again if I come back to the area .
The room was modern and staff friendly. Parking was easy. The room could be a bit cleaner and better prepared as it wasn’t made up for 3 people . Overall good value, I would stay again.
Nicely renovated hotel. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was varied and excellent- I travel a lot and would definitely sty again.
Thanks for the friendly hospitality
