Lovely hotel great location and friendly staff
Good poached eggs, 10 minute walk into town
A man opened my locked door at 3 am. This should not be possible with an electronic key system. I called reception, but there was no answer. There should be someone on duty throughout the night. The manager was apologetic, but only a room upgrade was offered, and I was told to complain to booking.com. In retrospect, I should have called 999, but I was probably not in a calm state.
Also on a less crucial level, the radiator switch/temperature dial was broken off - it wasn't even the right one for the radiator.
There was no plug in the wash basin.
The bath tap dripped constantly.
There was no mattress protector between the mattress and sheet.
Was well presented when you walk in, I opted for rose petals on the bed for Valentine’s Day which they did no problem, it looked lovely
The staff when I arrived at the hotel looked at me with disgust, I had just travelled around 2 hours and comfy tracksuit bottoms on, when I walked into the hotel I was met with staff that looked completely disgusted I had turned up in my comfy clothes. It doesn’t matter what someone looks like when they arrive at the hotel, I paid for the room just like all the other guests so expected to be treated exactly the same on my arrival. The duvet on the bed was too heavy and too hot, to the point I was sweating most of the night unable to sleep. Upon further inspection of the room it had not been deep cleaned at all, mould in the showers, thick dust on the metal iron holder on the wardrobe, the dressing table was dirty and the two bedside tables were heavily stained. The breakfast was lovely and lovely staff that accommodated us on the morning
I absolutely loved Location and food in Pub.
People at the pub were to noisy. On saturday night there were group of People who disturbed our sleep at midnight.
Breakfast
The room was dusty
Grote kamer en fijn dat er een pub en restaurant was
Dat de klussers aan de slag gingen toen wij nog niet uit de kamer waren. Hier waren we niet van tevoren voor gewaarschuwd.
