Pros:

Soggiorno di 4 notti al pianterreno con cortile/giardino pieno di piante e un'amaca (e zanzare).
Era la prima volta nella mia vita che andavo in un "Boutique" hotel : adesso capisco che il significato deriva dalle decorazioni originali tipo makramé o piante o piastrelle che danno un tocco speciale alle stanze. Camera di piccole dimensioni, tutta occupata da un letto super enorme. Pulizia eccezionale, lenzuola impeccabili. Spesso un gatto dei vicini ha spinto la porta zanzariera per intrufolarsi in stanza mentre ero presente. Bella terrazza sul tetto ombreggiata solo in parte. C'è acqua potabile da un bottiglione. Tre minuti a piedi dalla fermata del bus Caribe (ADO). La proprietaria italiana (da 20 anni) è super gentile e simpatica.

Cons:

Bagno piccolo dove l'acqua calda (non bollente) arriva dopo ben 5 minuti (ho calcolato).
Il wifi va a singhiozzo ma forse è colpa della linea elettrica di Mahahual che è venuta a mancare due volte (forse solo per un'ora).

Die Besitzerin hat uns super herzlich empfangen und war bei jedem Anliegen sehr hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und dennoch ist es nachts ruhig. Wir würden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
Im Hotel leben außerdem zwei Katzen. Die Besitzerin ist sehr tierlieb – auch Streunerhunde dürfen gerne in der Lobby etwas essen oder trinken, sich ein paar Streicheleinheiten abholen und jederzeit wieder weiterziehen.
Fazit:
Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. 🐾

Nice place, friendly people
Pros:

We were close to the street food market and close to the beach clubs. Their two cats were friendly and fun and the owners took care of us and make us feel welcome. Great experience overall.

das Hotel ist liebevoll eingerichtet und an einer perfekten Lage in Mahahual. Restaurants, Bars und Tauchschulen sind gleich um die Ecke, Trotzdem ist es in der Nacht ruhig. Die Hotelbesitzer sind sehr nett. Trinkwasser ist auch immer verfügbar.

Adorable, spotless hotel steps from a sparkling clean beach and crystalline water
Pros:

I spent an incredible week at this adorable hotel just steps from a sparkling clean beach on the Caribbean!! The location is so central near all shops and restaurants, yet it’s quiet. The hotel is decorated with a distinctly Italian flair and the service couldn’t be better. The rooms are extremely comfortable and cozy, and the roof garden and the view gorgeous. There are few papers of the Mexican Caribbean that are sargasso free, and Mahajual is one of them. Highly recommend the hotel and this area of the Yucatan Peninsula (the reef and snorkeling are remarkable!!) and their rates are an absolute steal.

Wellness in the heart of Mahahual
Pros:

I stayed at Hotel Pachamama in August 2025. Fantastic experience! The hotel is just a few steps from the beautiful Mahahual beach, right in the center filled with shops and restaurants. The staff is helpful and attentive, both to the guests’ needs and to the environment. A special mention goes to Micky for his kindness and availability: he recommended restaurants, exchange offices, grocery stores, and a laundry service.
The rooms are super clean and comfortable (air conditioning and hot water always available). Each room also has a safe. I highly recommend this place!
