Pros:

Spacious room, with comfy beds and super friendly staff! Right by the station too, which was perfect for us as we had lots of luggage.

Cons:

The room was quite hot and stuffy, even with air con to cool it down.

A luxurious stay close to the train station.
Pros:

Great location. Just a beautiful place to stay. Had dinner and went to the bar. Explored the way to the train station for our early departure the next morning.

Cons:

We didn’t stay long enough :-(

Great Location
Pros:

Nice old world hotel. Great location right at the train station with easy access through Midori shopping centre. So convenient with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Room had a nice view of the mountains but was hot and stuffy. Glad there was a window to open. On the whole great value for money.

Cons:

Breakfast was cold and lacked choice. Was the worst breakfast we had on our whole trip. Bathroom was old with shower over bath and shower curtain. Needs renovating

Great nest to visit the Nagano area
Pros:

Next to the station, perfect location if you want to take early transports and visit the area, also right in the center, very convenient since there isn’t much going on in Nagano town. As for the hotel itself, it felt to me a bit old fashioned in some ways (but this is just the way they like it I believe) but in all fairness, everything was perfect, the staff, the room, the cleanness, the commodities, for that price, this is probably one of the best hotel I ever stayed in Japan, all considered.

Cons:

The smoking room closes for a few hours every nights, not so enjoyable when you’re badly jet lagged and it’s freezing well below 0 in winter, but that’s a minor inconvenience, and for late smokers only….

Perfect hotel, close to everything. Big rooms & friendly staff. Roof top bar was also very nice.
