Pleasant and well-located hotel near the old town eateries and the train station
Pros:

Fantastic pleasant and friendly service at the reception. Without asking I was upgraded to a more expensive room without having to pay the difference! As I was taking an early morning train, the train station is a minute's walk from the hotel. A short walk from the hotel over the bridge takes you into the charming old town of Bayonne with plenty of restaurants, boulangeries, and streets to practice the French art of flânerie.

Cons:

I really enjoyed myself both walking and bike riding. There was nothing to not like about Bayonne and my experience there has only reinforced my desire to visit again at greater length. There were many food options and I basically ate my way through the city at various food emporia. Bayonne is delight for those who like to explore the city on foot.

Clean, convenient, and friendly — a great stay overall.
Pros:

Great location right opposite the train station, making travel very convenient. The hotel was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The walls were quite thin, so noise from nearby guests could be heard easily.
