Welcoming, great location, stunning views
I did feel we were a little rushed at dinner in between main and dessert courses and asked for 10 min. Apart from that it was perfect.
Breakfast could have included more options . Not great selection of fresh fruit.
£20 per glass of wine. Bedrooms are in need of upgrade. Broken tiles in bathroom . Hard towels.
This hotel is NOW only average .
We returned as we had a fantastic stay in 2019 . We brought friends and together we concluded that it was not worth the money that was charged
Bar prices ridiculous .
Bar prices not great .
Bar closed at 10.30 very disappointing.
Reminded by bar staff that we could only have two small pots of nuts despite the 20£ price tag on the wine per glass.!!!
Rooms not fresh . Could do with upgrade on decoration
Chipped paintwork , dirty doors , cracked floor tiles . Hard towels . Very bad mattressRoom 302
Not work the 300 £ price tag per night .
There are plenty other hotels to go to rather than this location that are 5 star
This isn’t one of them .
Fabulous hotel, with stunning rooms, a great dinner and breakfast to allow a relaxing break away
The facilities and the stunning location
Some areas need a refresh such as the rooms and the pool.
Booked this as a treat for my friend and I. Everything from start to finish was fabulous!! Worth every penny!! Food was delicious. Treatments were amazing! Staff were all lovely! Very well looked after. Room was comfortable - loved having our little table outside!! Now saving for the next one!! Def want to go back!!
Lovely property great location staff were attentive food was lovely
Bit dark but it’s a castle
A calm, peaceful stay at Fonab Castle. Staff without exception were approachable, friendly and polite. Food was served in a large dining room with stunning views of the river and the hills in the background. The meals were excellent, hot and quickly served. A massage in the spa was much appreciated. Definitely a hotel for a return trip.
Fab location, food was amazing - the staff are so attentive and welcoming. Our room was getting slightly faded; but it was still lovely.
The breakfast was very good. The view overlooking the Loch was amazing.
I was expecting more of a castle experience. At the very least it would have been nice to see that part of the property.
