Location and cleanliness.
Very small for the price. Have to do dishes in the bathroom sink. Old microwave. Not much choice for breakfast.
We had a lovely stay in our little cottage. They supply everything you need, including firewood which is replenished every morning. The cottage was very clean, as are the grounds. Beds are very comfortable. The people at the front desk are very kind, helpful, and friendly (the young woman who checked us in was very thorough and walked us to our cottage and explained everything well in a delightful manner). We brought our large German Shepherd dog and he really enjoyed the surroundings. The other people staying at the property were kind, quiet, and respectful. The beach is within walking distance and the area offers an array of great food and attractions. We mostly loved relaxing in front of the fire and enjoying the quiet and calm atmosphere. We will certainly return and would recommend staying here if you are looking for a simple, quiet, and relaxing stay.

Breakfast
We have stayed here twice and have had wonderful stays. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The location is a short walk to Asilomar beach where there are beautiful walking trails. Our two dogs enjoyed their stays as well, they gave the lobby dog treats and the grassy area a solid 5/5!

The room was a comfortable and good size for two people.
There was a small patio area in front of cottage that was very pleasant whenever the Sun was out..
The Breakfast that was advertised was disappointing with only packaged snack type food displayed. We went out for breakfast instead.

After we arrived and checked in, we were ushered to our cottage and received helpful, specific information regarding the layout of the property. Also, liked our patio which was very conducive to sitting out there drinking a cup of tea.

Very clean and cozy. Fireplace was so nice and had access to a lot of firewood. All employees were very nice and the grab and go snacks and breakfasts were great! Very quiet and peaceful. Great location. Came to town to run the Big Sur marathon and the location to Monterey bus pick up for the race was very close by.
