Check-in was not smooth at all. We are told to pay $50 per child per night extra charge. Not clearly outlined when we made the booking, and slapped on top like a money grab.
On the concierge tour - the property is indeed very small and limited. We were told by our assigned concierge (she) will create a WhatsApp group so she can let us know when our room is ready plus share other info. That was literally two hours ago… and now she has disappeared so what will happen next is a mystery. Guests should get used to radio silence from their dedicated concierge I guess.
Checking in - now it is nearly 4pm even though official check in time is 3pm. Still awaiting any updates from the staff about our room? Kids are getting bored…
Baia Lounge restaurant - food is pretty sub par, and menu is limited. Upon ordering the chef’s burger, we are told there is a 45min wait as the chef needs to make the bun from scratch? Is this for real? Tuna sandwich arrives with cold fries and toasted bread that is also cold. I am worried about tomorrow’s breakfast - will it be just as disappointing?

Habitaciones cercanas con mucho ruido, el restaurante cerró temprano y no lo mencionaron en el check inn , esos olores de madera y aceites me dieron mucha alergia, parece que nunca abren las habitaciones, olores apartamento crrrados. No está preparados para eventos y huésped
This is our second stay at the Ocean Club and we absolutely love it. We always come during the Thanksgiving break, and it’s usually less crowded. At check-in we were upgraded thanks to my Gold status. From start to finish the staff takes great care of you.
The property has multiple pools, a spa, a restaurant, a gym, etc. The rooms are large and well-equipped, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, iron, and a living room. They also set up a WhatsApp group for us, so every request, from a boat tour to room service and spa was handled quickly there.
The food and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent. I really can’t think of any downside, maybe the restaurant and drinks are priced a bit high, but overall everything was perfect, especially the staff.
We’ll definitely be back next year.

Die Anlage super schön, und geschmackvoll!
Schade, dass man zu dem schönen Gebäude nicht mehr sorge trägt.
Z.B Im gestylten Bad schwarz weiss gehalten, Farbspritzer sogar auf dem Polsterstuhl im Zimmer einfach nur schade.
Das Hotel ist 5 Stern, der Fahrstuhl maximal 3 Stern , der wird nicht gereinigt.
Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption ok,
Am Pool auch ok.

Einfach nur schade. Wir hatten das Gefühl, dass hier niemand seinen Job mag, da müsste sich vielleicht mal das Management an der Nase nehmen.
We just got back from 4 days in a 3-bedroom oceanfront suite at the Ocean Club. The service was excellent and the staff were very pleasant, which greatly enhanced our stay. When my Mom was bothered by the jute rug in her room, they had it removed immediately. Agustina was the most lovely concierge, and my mom and I were delighted by the snorkelling tour that she arranged for us right from their beach. The restaurant was very pricey, but there are a lot of great restaurants within walking distance and we felt pretty safe the entire time. The resort itself is lovely and it was a beautiful, short holiday.
Hands down the best stay of a lifetime! One of the most amazing properties I have stayed at within the Bonvoy collection of brands. From the minute we arrived we were treated like we were the only ones in the resort. The check in process is very personable and the attention to detail is incredible. The staff at check in make sure your every need is met; no matter what. You are given a tour of the property personally and your room is toured with a client services member to make sure everything is up to your satisfaction. Throughout your stay you will be greeted and cared for by everyone. The many wonderful client services individuals are there for you throughout your stay. From our many requests, none was to big and every desire was met. From extra towels, to planning an anniversary surprise, to arranging fun activities. One of the most special memories was when our client services specialist met us at breakfast to ensure our stay was up to the highest standards. Overall, I personally could not recommend this property more highly. We said last night, if it was an option we would live here. In all, this property has better service than a Ritz Carlton or JW Marriott. I would rather stay here than any other luxury hotel in the world. In closing, a sincere thank you to than many wonderful individuals that bring this resort to life and focus on guest satisfaction. Your hard work is/was appreciated and noticed. avoid over priced, nothing is allowed. you can not bring friend over. everyone around is trying hard to over charge you. Just stay away!. Find better p[lace with less regulations

We’ve spent a lot of time vacationing throughout Mexico and the Caribbean, but this was our first trip to the Dominican Republic—and it absolutely delivered.
From the moment we arrived at Ocean Club Costa Norte, the staff made a lasting impression. Some of the friendliest, most attentive people we’ve come across anywhere. Everyone—from front desk to beachside service—was genuinely helpful and always a step ahead.
The resort itself feels like a hidden retreat, tucked into a quiet part of Sosúa. It’s peaceful, beautifully kept, and has a calm, private feel that made it easy to unwind. The beach is gorgeous, the ocean is warm and clear, and the saltwater pools quickly became one of our favorite spots to relax.
Food and drinks were consistently excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Dining here never felt like an afterthought—it was something we looked forward to every day.
Rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and many offer jaw-dropping ocean views. Waking up to that every morning never got old.
The Veuve Clicquot–branded Sun Club deserves a mention too—it’s a fun, stylish space that gives the whole resort experience a little extra energy and uniqueness.
It’s not the easiest place to get to, but once you’re there, you’ll understand why people rave about it. Incredible service, beautiful setting, and the kind of relaxing vibe that’s hard to find.
We usually try new places for each beach trip—but this one’s already on the list for a return visit. Can’t recommend it enough.
The best place to stay in the area. The 2 best restaurants in Sosua are Margot & Dolci e Sapori are next door and a 7 minute walk. This hotel is a Mariot experience and is truly the nicest, cleanest & only upscale hotel in Sosua. Private beach, full staff all over to pamper you & the full 5 star experience! Its my second time here.
