The Ocean Club, a Luxury Collection Resort, Costa Norte

This place was absolutely amazing. We came during the off season, so prices were lower, but even at the normal rate I would absolutely say it is worth it.

The room was huge and felt more like an apartment, with a full kitchen, refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, two coffee machines, and basically everything you could need. You could literally cook a whole turkey if you wanted to. The bed was extremely comfortable, the AC worked flawlessly, and they have their own generators, so electricity is never something you have to worry about.

Service was excellent almost across the board. They create a WhatsApp group for your stay, so you can simply message the team whenever you need anything and they handle it. No calling reception or walking downstairs. With the exception of one person, everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive.

The property itself is magnificent. There are several pools, a beautiful beach, complimentary snorkeling excursions, fresh coconuts in the mornings, and gorgeous jacuzzis with fire features in the middle. At night they look incredible, and you can even have food delivered while you're sitting in the jacuzzi.

During the off season, weekdays were wonderfully quiet and at times it felt like we had parts of the resort almost to ourselves. Weekends get noticeably busier with people coming from Santiago and elsewhere, which honestly just shows that locals know how good this place is.

We also ate at Aguají by Chef Tita, the fine dining restaurant at the hotel, and it was exceptional. The menu changes regularly and is a fine dining interpretation of Dominican cuisine. I've eaten at many Michelin-starred restaurants, and in my opinion this could compete at that level. It is expensive, though. Dinner for three was around $1,000, but the food was incredible.

Overall, the rooms, location, service, amenities, and all the little extras make this place very special. I would highly recommend it and absolutely stay here again.

The Ocean Club provides excellence! The view of the ocean and the mountains from our suite was stunning, the grounds and pool are maintained beautifully and their staff is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at The Ocean Club was the perfect ending to our Dominican Republic trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink that immediately set the tone for the exceptional hospitality we would experience throughout our stay.

The property is absolutely stunning. Everything feels luxurious, from the beautifully designed grounds to the breathtaking ocean views. Our room overlooked the water, and watching the sunset from our balcony each evening was simply mesmerizing.

The service was truly world-class. We had a dedicated concierge who made sure every detail of our stay was taken care of, whether it was arranging laundry service, coordinating food delivery, or answering any request we had. The staff consistently went above and beyond.

The bar serves exquisite handcrafted cocktails, and the wine cellar is a wonderful place to unwind. We enjoyed relaxing there while watching the FIFA matches, which made for a perfect evening.

After spending hours driving across the island before arriving, I wasn't feeling my best. The staff's kindness made a lasting impression—they thoughtfully brought me a healing watermelon soup along with fresh lemon juice, a gesture I'll never forget.

If you're looking for peace, privacy, and a true luxury experience, this is the place. It is definitely on the expensive side, but the impeccable service, tranquil atmosphere, and unforgettable views make it worth every penny. We left feeling refreshed, cared for, and already looking forward to returning.

It was a spontaneous decision because our original plans have been canceled. But it became one of our most relaxed holidays. The staffs are friendly, specially all the reception team. We received very welcome checkin( with a surprise treatment because of our anniversary) and farewell at checkout.
The room was nice because we had a standing view of the ocean.
The F&B was good. The price of the house wine I think it can be reconsidered. For breakfast, we had fixed continental breakfast included everyday. I think you can give guests an allowance( exp:18$/day) then they can order different types of breakfast.( guests needs to pay the differences if it is over 18$.)
The swimming pools and the beach were perfect with blue sky touched with clouds and white fine sand. The ombré sea stretches to the horizon. How beautiful was it? I can not stop taking pics. You have to come and discover yourself.

We loved the tranquil atmosphere and extremely attentive staff. Five stars.

We stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon, and it absolutely set the bar high. The amenities are fantastic—we spent plenty of evenings relaxing in the hot tub with fireplace—but the location is also perfect. It feels like a private oasis, yet it’s incredibly convenient to Cabarete and plenty of fantastic local restaurants. We much prefer this over an all inclusive resort, because we were able to get out and explore each day but come back to a luxury place each evening.

One of our favorite touches was the dedicated WhatsApp group with the concierge and front desk. It made communicating with the team so incredibly easy at all hours, and they were always quick to help.

The breakfast was amazing and fresh every single day (we loved Yohanny) with amazing options, including their take on the local Dominican classic tres golpes. And the snorkeling excursion was an absolute blast. Huge shoutout to Ray and Yohemi!

If you're looking for a mix of relaxation with awesome pools, top-tier service, and easy access to local culture, this is the place. We can't wait to come back!

Unbelievably perfect. We felt like royalty the moment we were picked up from the airport. The staff is so friendly and ready to help with anything. Even arranging a driver for us to go to Puerto Plata to do our own touring. The views and calm atmosphere are exactly what we were looking for. Security is a top priority here. You feel very comfortable. The restaurants on site are delicious with gorgeous views. There is no need to leave. Immaculately clean room. We stayed in the 2 bedroom “duplex” and it defines upper level beachfront Caribbean. We will be returning, over and over again. Big thank you to Enna and Augustina for making this stay perfect.

The property is beautiful and the location is perfect. We had a big, clean, very well appointed two bedroom suite. Floor to ceiling windows (two stories) were amazing. The pools, the beach, spa (I had a fantastic massage), restaurants / bars and all public spaces were immaculate and well maintained. Above all, the service was extraordinary. A great stay.

I truly cannot say enough amazing things about my stay at The Ocean Club Resort in Sosúa for my 30th birthday—it was nothing short of perfect from start to finish.

Every morning felt like a dream. We started our days slowly, enjoying the most delicious fresh Caribbean fruit and warm, freshly baked pastries in the most peaceful, relaxing setting overlooking the mountains across the island. It was the kind of place that forces you to slow down and actually enjoy every moment.

The highlight of the trip was hands down my private birthday dinner on the beach. The setup was absolutely stunning, complete with beautiful birthday balloon décor that made it feel so personal and special. Not another soul in site other than the chef and waiter. The food was incredible, and the entire experience felt like something out of a movie.

The service throughout our stay was exceptional. The waiters and waitresses were beyond fabulous—so warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless. They were incredibly accommodating and truly made us feel valued and welcomed every step of the way.

We were also lucky enough to receive a room upgrade, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Our luxurious three-bedroom suite was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and the perfect place to celebrate such a special occasion. I mean… I could shower while looking at ocean! No windows, just a wide open door overlooking the beautiful island hills, water, and beach. 

The resort made everything effortless. Airport pickup and drop-off were flawlessly arranged, and we had a private driver who is employed by the hotel for the entire week, which made exploring so easy and stress-free.

Beyond the resort, the charm of Sosúa made the trip even more unforgettable. The island scenery is breathtaking, and I loved experiencing the local culture—seeing locals on their motorbikes, stopping by small shops, and trying food from local stands added such an authentic and vibrant touch to the trip.

This was more than just a vacation—it was a truly unforgettable experience and the perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend The Ocean Club Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and genuinely special getaway.
