Grand Mercure Basildene Manor

We had a wonderful time at Grand Mercure Basildene Manor. A small boutique hotel set in beautifully manicured grounds. A couple of minutes drive into Margaret River town centre, which woyld be an easy walk in warmer weather.
Breakasts were amazing, as was the afternoon tea. Staff were all very friendly, professional and made our stay very special. Thankyou, we'll come back again!

Location, staff, breakfast, hotel and its grounds are all 5/5. Perfect for a nice romantic get away, couldn’t recommend enough. We will be back!

Beautiful Manor House. Pristine Gardens-old world rooms, lots of photos of original owners, comfy and welcoming helpful staff. Highly recommend the lovely town of Margaret River and surrounding hamlets etc.
On check out we were given 2 fresh scones with butter and jam for our drive home. Special farewell touch! Touché

Room was a little small, and bed was uncomfortable, not best quality. Bathroom was extremely clean. Breakfast was the highlight, it was fresh and delicious, and scones on departure a nice touch.

Breakfast was good value, with a cooked dish from the menu. I loved the lounge and the garden. Really convenient to be able to help yourself to tea and coffee in the dining room.

Personal touches such as complimentary homemade cake and tea/coffee. Providing welcome letter and chocolate. Gift upon leaving.

The check in & out was smooth. Our room was sublime. The afternoon tea was a really lovely touch to return to after each day’s outing. The facilities provided were much much more than I expected. Our stay was the best we have had at any Accor Vacation stay. Thank you for the best hospitality & comfort

Great service and breakfast

There accommodation wad extremely well presented, clean, spacious and very comfortable. I found the staff went above and beyond, always friendly and extremely helpful even to yet point on checkout receiving scones and jam, which became a better option for something to eat whilst at the airport. All breakfasts were delicious, with both cooked or continental optios. Well situated in a short drive to a large number of wineries, caves, and lighthouse, and from what I can much much more.

Basildene Manor was an oasis of calm elegance. We had been travelling for over 30 hours when we arrived at Basildene Manor at 8.30pm. Despite arriving at this late hour there was an envelope containing a welcome message and clear instructions for entry. In our beautifully appointed room was a bottle of wine and chocolate, both locally sourced along with further welcome messages.
We were on our way back to New Zealand from Africa and as our flight had a transit in Perth we thought that we would make the most of it and have a visit to Margaret River. Staying at Basildene Manor was the icing on the cake and I can’t speak highly enough of the icing on the carrot cake served for afternoon tea in the conservatory. Everything about this property is refined elegance from the bedroom, lounge with the fire to the superb breakfast served. The staff are all highly professional and friendly providing excellent service throughout your stay.
The grounds are stunningly maintained and a lovely place to relax but for us, the weather meant our time outside was limited. Instead we had beautiful views from our window.
Not many properties provide a complimentary laundry for guests to use and this is the attention to detail that makes Basildene Manor exceptional. A wonderful relaxing 3 nights that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Location perfect, beautiful tranquil setting, relaxing atmosphere, the room was well maintained, breakfast was exceptional. Every little detail has been thought of. Lovely place to stay to relax and unwind.

Beautiful place, very classy and intimate. Rooms were beautiful. Gardens are a perfect way to start your morning before and after a lovely breakfast. Great location.
Staff were warm and welcoming and the atmosphere was very warm and sophisticated. Perfect little get away for me and hubby to do a wine tour and spoil ourselves with some us time.

Beautiful, historic building with modern luxuries. Just out of town location which suited us well. The grounds were immaculate and a pleasure to view from the conservatory where breakfast was served. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and always accommodating. A thoroughly wonderful visit.
