We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite next to the main hotel in a renovated building. Situated on the street frontage, the suite was spacious yet cosy. Great hot water and pressure in the shower, bed extremely comfortable, a/c for comfort heading into winter. Even though on the street front, it was very quiet and felt very secure. Thanks to Helene for her directions to pick up keys and local information. It was a great base to explore Kalgoorlie.
If there was just one thing to comment on, as the suite was on the street front with windows, fuller curtains to cover the windows fully at night time would have been great for privacy.
Great location, big comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
Nil
Location is great for meals, shops etc.
Room was basic but had been recently refurbished.
Food in the hotel bar/restaurant was excellent.
Parking behind the building seemed a little worrying.
It was centrally located with large rooms.
The shower in the bathroom near the laundry ran as a trickle and could not be used, the two element stove was dirty, the stairs in the apartment were also dirty and dust particles fell from the wide cracks in the cornices onto the beds. Not value for money compared to other accommodation booked throughout southern WA. Staff advised off street parking not monitored, unsafe to use and best to park in main streets.
Location - it's so hard getting Taxi's in Kal, so being in the city centre makes it so convenient.
Also the shower was awesome- such great pressure.
Bed's are quite short (6'1"), and narrow.
The hotel is in a good location in Hannan Street, The Balcony Bar is a good place for a meal, but you need to book.
We had a one-bedroom suite on the ground floor, which opened directly to the street. You could not draw the curtain because it was immediately outside a bus stop and people were always there. There was a door in the bedroom which opened to a grotty back lane, and a window but you could not open the curtain for the same reason as the front.
only one fork, one soup spoon and one dessert spoon was provided for two people. No knives. The air-conditioner did not work. Broken towel hook in the bathroom meant only one towel could hang to dry. No second bedside reading lamp. Very dim lights.
This "suite" did not compare to the description of the room when I booked.
Good location
Historic
Location is excellent. Very large rooms. Right next to pub for easy meals and drinks
A little noisy at night time as rooms front directly onto the street.
Location and bar😜
Road noise
Nice and neat, location, tick tick, cleanliness tick tick and very comfy bed 👍
