Burleigh on the Beach Holiday Apartments

Customer service was not friendly. Rude and charge a lot for a service of unblocking a toilet. That would not even flush much toilet paper before it accidentally got blocked. Treated unfairly in way the handled issue.

Car park was stolen on second night and guy stayed in it for two nights before I got it back.

Not cleaned properly. Broken glass on rug and under couch. I have a baby crawling around and picked up glass. Could have gone in her foot, hand, arm or leg.

Big huntsman spider was in apartment on last night, while air conditioning was on.

The construction during the week and the shower

There’s a kitchen - with pots and pans and plates and everything one needs to cook a little meal, or just have breakfast - which is why we choose accommodations with a kitchen. And we like to leave everything clean for the next person. But it’s like dishwashing soap is a rare commodity. It sure would be nice to have a pump bottle. But, like many places we’ve stayed at in Queensland, we got a small packet. Oh well. This is not unique to this place - just a small thing that could make places better.

Not able to find garbage bags , dish washing liquid & cloth , towel was left in the bathroom from previous customer.
Not that the business could have had any effect on the situation but there was roadworks going on just outside the window , was not all that disturbing but work was going on almost 24 hours a day , that’s progress I suppose.:)

There wasn't much not to like.
Maybe mismatched crockery but that would be nit picking.

Nothing to tell you before you book that massive road construction and building site works will be all around you making noise night and day! This should be made explicit for the whole of Burleigh Heads.
Pretty standard / basic furnishings. We’ve all got used to something a bit more plush, I guess.
Impossible to know which unit you are getting from booking.Com’s website: just a load of photos with no labels. I honestly thought I’d booked two bedrooms over 2 levels ( staircase in photo and jacuzzi spa on verandah), whereas I’d actually got 1 bedroom!
No washing up liquid or cloths to use for small items ( didn’t want to put the dishwasher on for a couple of glasses.)
Absolutely miserly toiletries for a 5 night stay. One tiny tube of body wash/ and 1 shampoo/conditioner and 1 tiny soap.

Pool rules covered by garden plants, spa has some cracking near poolside. Fan in bedroom only worked on 2 higher speeds. Stove top and lounge chair needed thorough cleaning.
