Great accomodation in a beautiful location. Staff were most helpful, and went above and beyond to make stay great!

What more could you ask for? Well maybr a softer pillow! Everything else? OUTSTANDING!

Hotel in a beautiful spot with lovely views but not worth the price. Limited amenities, all run a bit on the cheap. Greg is a nice guy and the place is clean but really it is pricing itself as something it is not. Other than being big and having a bath the luxury room has nothing luxury about it.
We also paid a lot more by booking through Expedia - book direct and save $$. Don’t get sucked in like we did! Annoyingly the manager told us this after he had taken our money at the Expedia price and then said there was nothing he could do about it.

Checked in on Xmas day. Nobody at reception, but Xmas so I understand. Nice room nice walk and views over the ocean and magestic view of volcano with snow cap!

Restaurant was better than I would have expected for the size of the hotel/town

Our second night on the road we had this hotel book. after a 10hr motorcycle ride from gisbrone to headlands we checked in at 7pm tired, cold and hungry all we wanted was hot room a sit down meal and a good drink. Instead our heatpump was faulty and wouldnt heat the room due to an unit motor fault. I was that cold being an ex heatpump installer i dagnoised the unit trying to get it going. we called in advance re the resturant and even confirmed at checkin if we could dine in. when we got out our leathers and returned to enjoy a meal we were told it had to be take out only @ 745 when the resturant closes at 9pm. We were not happy about this especialy as we paid $80 resturant prices for dinner where we could have paid $30 at kcf for takeaway food. Disgruntaled we got up packed the bike and headed up the coast in the rain to enjoy breakfasted in new plymouth. The clerk staff was very helpful and friendly resturant staff and basic heating is what let this stay down for us. We were returning customers but in future we will be bypassing and heading elsewhere .

Ended up having to cancel booking so can’t really say anything about the motel. Certainly they understood why I had to cancel and were courteous about it

After a dispute about the price the agreement on Expedia was 450 but got charged 540 dollars on arrival I ended up sleeping in a fold out bed very uncomfortable but room was clean tho average and didn’t much appreciate the manager unlocking the door and entering when I was in the room without knocking .

Nice hotel close to the beach with a restaurant that serves good food

The hotel manager was absolutely wonderful and very kind to us. We were travelling with a 19mth old and found the facilities suited us very well. Would definitely stay here again!!

Enjoyed our stay. Good room layout and very comfortable bed. Good facilities and kitchen was equipped well.. Tap dripped over sink (room 8) and not very soundproof .

I arrived at 5pm and the Hotel was shut and in darkness. Tried to contact 2 different numbers and left a message with no reply. Could have been a very valid reason that hotel was closed though would have appreciated a call back.

Nice place, but the owner or manager didn't even bother to turn on the lights in the office when we were checking in, so it was pretty dark. Room was clean and spacious.

Slack book in staff, no water pressure in shower. Just an ordinary motel.

Restaurant was not what we were expecting.
Room was clean but there were remnants of previous guests in the bathroom.
Nowhere to leave key and check out in the morning.

for a two night stay in the Tarranakie (?).area - we found this hotel to be in a good location for site seeing, was clean, neat and quiet.. The new management are doingwell
