Everything! Beautiful rural location, friendly and passionate staff, quirky and authentic historic surroundings and architecture (slightly rough around the edges as working farms are!) the farm animals, golf course. The quietness
Good accommodation and very comfortable. Lots of character and beautiful location. Private and good facilities. Very friendly and knowledgeable hosts who were very welcoming and homely.
Everything was good
Quiet , serene historic country setting
Nothing not to like , great hosts , great facilities in a beautiful Tassie countryside location
I liked the Pub meal at Kempton, highly rate it
Poor shower pressure, closed the blinds and there was dead insects all over them, had 2 identical rooms,
But yet 2 different prices
Loved the heated floor in the bathroom and the room was so comfy and spacious. Very peaceful and friendly animals ready for a pat
It kept raining was the only thing we didn’t like
Gorgeous property. Very laid back, welcoming. Beautiful homestead, like 'coming home.' Open fires, beautiful furniture, antiques & oil paintings.
Lots of accommodation options, all retaining the look & vibe of a farm stay.
Our accomodation, in the 'tin shed' was warm and comfortable. Loved all the outbuildings, many cleverly turned into accommodation.
Lovely staff & hosts.
Our room was comfortable, but needed attention - a thorough spring clean, not just clean sheets & towels. Dusty surfaces, dead insects, mud & dirt on front door glass panels. Not a big deal, but attention to detail is important, and all these tasks only a few minutes extra to rectify.
Over our doorway (porch) was a light on an auto-setting that couldn't be switched off, and stayed on ALL night. It was incredibly bright, and the rollerblind covering the glass-panelled door didn't cover sufficiently to block out light or provide complete privacy. Hubby strung up clothing & towels to block the gaps 😝.
The Location was fantastic. Beautiful surrounds very enjoyable. Dinner at the homestead was a very enjoyable experience great way to get some history on the area and everyone was very pleasant to have dinner with.
The rooms had very thin doors that ajoined to other rooms it was a little strange seeing your neighbouring rooms turn on the light in the next room and you could see it come through.
We had a great night there sharing drinks in front of the open fireplace in the mansion with our friendly hosts Rose and Richard, followed by a super dinner of delicious wallabi fillets and potato gratin.Back to the fireplace for a comforting very nice rhubarb and apple crumble and a glass of whisky. It was a most enjoyable night.
