We had a lovely stay, good walk around the peninsula, exploring the local area. Fed and watered at the bar

Perfect for an overnight as near the airport
Pros:

Close to airport and great value for money , we were only there for an overnight stop so it was perfect as it is a little out of town if you want to explore further . It describes itself as an English pub , there is a nice courtyard set up as a beer garden and they play music but this is turned off by 9 so not a problem if you need an early night . The food there looked good but we didn’t eat there . It’s a little dated but very clean and comfortable

Cons:

We had to leave early so it would have been good to be able to access something for breakfast eg croissants or fruit but other than that all fine

A little far from town. Found it a little noisy with the events going on. The room was a little warm but no screen on the window.

Pros:

Great place to end our South Island vacation. Close to Nelson Airport. Wonderful staff (especially Ian). The pub was a nice local place to have a drink and a meal.

I had a pleasant stay overall. It was great to be able to walk from the airport
Pros:

Location is lovely. Enjoyed the friendly and efficient staff.
I was grateful that the outdoor music stopped at 9pm

Cons:

My main negative rating for my stay was the lack of availability of breakfast on the Sunday morning of my stay. I had to wait until the restaurant opened at 10am to order a cheese scone (which was delicious by the way). If breakfast was available it certainly wasn’t mentioned in the information book in my room.
