Very good location and beautiful view

The view and location was exceptional, so close to everything and such a beautiful view!

Cons:

The kitchen was offensive smelling. We also paid extra for a higher floor and only got level 6 which wasn’t ideal. We expected a nicer and more modern apartment.

The location and view were excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and we really appreciated the convenience of the free parking.

Cons:

We were very disappointed with the condition of the room (unit 29), which felt quite run down and did not match the standard presented in the listing photos.

While the room itself was clean, there were several maintenance issues that were difficult to overlook. The kitchen bench had visible burn marks, the extractor fan was dirty, and there was mould around the shower. We also noticed rust on the chairs, light fittings, and bathroom tapware, as well as electrical sockets that appeared to be coming away from the walls.

Overall, the condition of the room fell well below expectations based on the photos provided, which was a significant letdown. The property is clearly in need of refurbishment.

Beautiful views, romantic getaway.
Pros:

We loved the fabulous view, location and ease of access.

Cons:

Internet connection and the dropping out of TV was annoying. We spent most of our time out and about but when it was time to relax, my home Netflix connection sometimes worked, sometimes didn't, for no apparent reason. Frustrating. But apart from that, this is a fabulous getaway.

The location is very good, accessible for everything..my husband enjoyed the view from the balcony...the beach front is superb.

Breathtaking Views
Pros:

We stayed on the 11th floor room 36. It is a corner apartment, and the views are exceptional from every room, absolutely breath taking, having the open balcony is just beautiful. The apartment has all the essentials you need for cooking your own meals. The shower is large and has great water pressure. They supply some basics, such as toilet paper, small shampoos, conditioners, soaps, dishwashing liquid, washing powder, tea, coffee, sugar, & bin liners, just enough for our 4 night stay, We did not see or hear another guest our entire 4-night stay, it felt as if we had the complex to ourselves. The only noise we could hear our entire visit was the surf. If you are a smoker, they allow smoking on your balcony with the door to the apartment closed. It was quick and easy to get the lift every time. The apartment is well equipped for a stay away from home. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were very happy and will definitely choose Olympus Apartments for our next stay in surfers paradise.

Cons:

Unfortunately, this apartment does not have an air conditioner in the bedroom, only a ceiling fan so the bedroom can become quite hot at times. The window only has sliding shutters which don't close that great and no blinds or curtains, so it is hard to keep the heat out of the bedroom. Also, the queen bed is not very comfortable, the mattress is quite old and hard. The apartment could really do with an update, even just throw out the dirty mats that are in the apartment would make a difference, i can't understand why they haven't? The fan in the bathroom runs the entire time with no way to turn off, but this didn't really worry us. Even considering these few faults we would definitely stay again, maybe next time find an apartment with an airconditioned bedroom though.
